it is more like a 33.33333% chance of being right bc twins have a symbol as well, always right, freaky I know, but I like it

If it predicts pregnancy when you do it over your stomach, then I must be pregnant with a baby girl. That's what it said.

I did the gold necklace thing and it showed for the first three times my three daughters then a boy then stopped. I tried it on someone in a doctors office to see if I could get it right for that person. It worked. She was amazed as was I. Just take a gold necklace with a charm on it, and hold it over the person. I will no for sure if it works when I have this 4th baby. It said boy and I'm 5 weeks pregnant.

ok, the pencil test and the "ring on a string" test are the same thing. Both work in the same way, doesnt matter which one you use. Results - same

Has anyone done this test over their belly without knowing they were pregnant, get a result, and then find out that they actually ARE pregnant a short while later? I saw Misty said something about having done this without knowing, but she never posted again to tell whether her and her sister, but never let us know what ended up happening - haha. Can anyone validate that it will tell you whether you're pregnant BEFORE you "actually" know?

Who knows... maybe it just moves if you CAN still have a baby and not if you can't (i.e your tubes are tied). Just a thought.

I firmly believe that this test works. I've tried on myself, my family member & all my female friends & colleagues and so far, it has not been a single mistake made.

I had the pencil test done on me, it was right. The lady who did it has never been wrong.
I normally don't believe in that kind of thing, but for me it was accurate.

I dont have any children, but I tried the trick with a pencil, needle and thread, nothing happened. When i did it with a strand of hair and i ring it moved up and down, circle, left to right, circle then up and down, then a bunch of circles. we'll see if its right

You all keep talking about how this "works" and yet no one can agree on how it's actually done. Some of you are saying, "My test was right!" saying that it swung in a circle and you're having/had a girl. Then others are saying, "My test was right!" and that it swung in a circle and you're having/had a boy. Which is it? Is a circle a boy or a girl or is it just whatever you want it to be that go around? ;) This is no different than the planchette on a Ouija board. There are no ghosties moving the planchette. It is the subtle movement on those holding onto it. It's the same with this. How about handing over the pencil, needle and thread to someone whose never heard of this and has no idea what you're doing. Have them hold it over your wrist and explain nothing. It's not gonna work because the person holding it doesn't WANT it to work. This is all basic human psychology. Sorry to burst your bubbles. But... have fun anyway. ;)
Oh, and, by the way. When my DH did this to me, having NO idea what he supposed to be doing, it was completely and utterly wrong. When my sister did it, who knew what it was all about, it was completely right. What a miracle. ;)
