i ve heard that you should start these at 35-6 weeks. im not sure if they induce labour but they are supposed to help reduce its length as far as i am aware. i have tried alsorts of things with my other pregnancies including keeping busy, walking, eating indian food, s_x is supposed to help !! so i tried that too. good luck

Just wanted to offer my take on Raspberry Leaf Tea. I have been drinking it (about 4 -6 cups a day) for the last week. The first time I drank it, it started contractions a few hours later - but they were very irregular. I have not gotten any other contractions, etc. since then. It either doesn't really work or it needs to be started very early - as you all have suggested. BTW - I am 50% effaced, 1 cm and 37+3w pregnant. I have also lost my plug.

I've also tried this rasberry tea, and the only thing it brought on was BAD DIAREHHA and cramps. Also contractions, but it didn't go anywhere. I even walked about a mile and went up stairs. Still no baby. There's gotta be a definite way that I can get this baby out of me and soon

Try and have as much s_x as possible, the male sperm can soften the cervix tremendously, and can cause you to dialate more, and go into active labor

Tasha is right. You should consult your doctor before trying to induce labor, esp. through nipple stimulation. From what I have read, it can cause intense contractions that might end up being harmful to your baby. I would be very careful taking what I read on message forums as the truth. How do we know that the person giving advice has an ounce of sense?

I've been drinking rasberry leaf tea since I was 34wks. I'm now 38wks and drinking tea, taking rasberry leaf tablets as evening primrose oil. I'm killing my partner wanting s_x and I'm walking about a km a day. I've also tried many, many other "suggestions" to bring on labour but it hasn't worked. This is my 3rd bub and I had my other 2 Angels by now. Number 3 will come when ready. Better be soon!!!!

A cup of white vinegar is the only thing that worked for me. In seven hours I was in active labor.

I am 39 wks and 1 day. At my check up yesterday I wasn't even dialated. My cervix was just softening. I have been taking Red Raspberry Leaf Tablets thru my entire pregnancy. I have increased my s_x for the last few weeks. This is my first child but I am sick of waiting. I am really uncomfortable. I need a natural induction that works
NOW !!!

i started taking rasberry leaf tablets in my last trimester with my first child and she was 2 and a half weeks early, so if you are in your last trimester i highly suggest taking them if you are nearly due i suggest s_x and orgasm sperm is a natural inducer! and orgasms along with nipple stimulation help contract the uterus! try it

is the red rasberry pills the same as the tea. There was more dosage in the pills then the tea. Will it still work the same?

I am also 39 weeks and in the same boat. I am 2 1/2 cm's and I have tried walking, s_x and now today I bought raspberry leaf tea. The lady at the health food store said that this generally only works if you have been having "false labour" as it actually stops the contractions from slowing down. I recommend you visit a health food store and ask about other options as well, they know a lot as well as any contra-indications for all of their products. I just choked down the tea and it was horrible! I really hope that it does the trick.
