My water broke at 3:30pm in the middle of my baby shower. I had had cramps which felt like menstrual cramps for ~ 1/2 hour on the each of the previous 2 days but no other warning pains. I didn't think much about them because I was only 35 weeks along. After my water broke, I had bloody show and progressively painful contractions. My son was born at 1am that night.

hi i was allready in labor but me and my bf had to go to the superwith my bf and we were in the supermarket for baby stuff when i had to go to the bathroom so we started walking over to were it was when it broke and it gushed out all over the floor and we rushed to the hospital and i had my baby an hour and a half later

my water broke in the car, on the only day my hubby did not make me sit on a towel. I have never seen him pull over that fast and take off his shirt. I was a lot of water and my son was born 3.5 hours later.

My water broke with my first son at 37 wks. I had just gone to the drug store to stock up on diapers and was on the way home when it happened. It felt like I had peed in my pants but it would not stop. I did not even realize that I was having contractions until they hooked me up to the monitors at the hospital. I had him 12 hours after my water broke.

My first i went into hard labour around 630pm. i didnt want to go to the hospital right away for fear it was false and they would sendme home. At 1130 my hubby said were going and sure enough they said i was only in 1cm and they would watch me for an hour but if nothing happened they would send me home. I was in ALOT of pain (back labour) and didnt want to go back home i wanted drugs! Well an hour later they checked again and said i was only 2cm and they were going to send me home. I cried out to the Lord (out loud) "Dear God PLEASE dont let them send me home" at that very instant my water broke. My hubby got the nurse and she asked me if i was sure. I said yes she lifted the sheet and said, ohh it did. My second i was asleep it was around 6am, i felt a pop then a gush. I called the doc and they said take your time enjoy a shower have some brekfast and come in. She was born around 1215 pm.

Same with my second, again water broke while asleep.
