Yes, the doctor just used his best judgment in guessing how fast it was beating. It did look much faster than a regular pulse though. My next ultrasound is next Tuesday. I'm thinking that I may request to have it done at the hospital, b/c I'm sure that they have more sophisticated machines there (and doppler). I know that my doctor's machine isn't exactly "state of the art," although he claims he can get a very good picture on it. Make sense?

Jamie- did you get a picture of your last ultrasound?? ANd yes, I agree about going to get a more high tech ultrasound. It makes such a world of a difference. lol.... ANyhow, I have my last ultrasound picture at 7 weeks 5 days. Measured perfectly. If you give me your Email, I will send you the picture so you can see what it should look like at that many weeks, etc. My last pregnancy, I didn't have anything to look at, except the pics online, but they all seemed like they were different or not real. So, I had no idea how bad it really was. When I seen this one, I could make out so much more than the last one where we had to look real hard to find it. So, I can send it to you if you want. :)

There was a picture, and it basically looked like an empty sac. According to my calculations, I should have been at 7 weeks and 1 day, but he thought I might be a week earlier (this is possible, b/c I had taken multiple pregnancy tests, that were negative, around the time of my period, and it was only about five days later that the test came back positive). He also thought that it was strange that there seemed to be a heartbeat, but the structures weren't visible. He thought maybe it was hiding in the corner of the uterus or lying flat against the edge. Who knows, right now it's a mystery... Oh, and I'd love to see the pictures. They will definitely be helpful next week. You can send them to hochmanherzj@hotmail.com. Thanks

Ladies I'm back today I went for my appt. the doctor confirmed that I'm 12 weeks, she look for the heartbeat using doppler and found the baby's heartbeat the bpm is 160 again so the heartbeat is consistent and it's present everytime they used the doppler it's not a flicker it's a fast and stong heartbeat. I'm very much please today because my risk of miscarriage is very low %, I pa__sed the miscarriage period. My doctor said that if I was to have miscarriage that should have took place already. I'm so happy to hear that! and also she said that the with baby heartbeat fast and strong there's really nothing to worry about. Ladies if you were told that you are 7 weeks pragnant or supposed to be pragnant and find an empty sac I suggest wait for a couple of weeks before they perform D & C a week or two makes alot difference as far as finding the heartbeat and the baby. Tommorow I have another ultrasound I will post the update on that if they're able to locate or see the baby already. God bless everyone! In Gods word he said"Ask and you shall recieve" and believe it in your heart that you recieved it already.

Lisa- that is great to hear!! I have my apt. here in a few hours. I sure hope I have great news also to share. On this pregnancy, at 5 weeks 6 days the heart was already a flicker and at 7 weeks 5 days it was strong at 166bpm. But, I feel that was still early. I am now 11 weeks 1 day today, so I think if we see a strong heartbeat, etc. today, I will finally feel much better. Because, yes... once you hit about 12 weeks with a good heartbeat, etc. you are past the miscarriage period and now go on to a 98% sucess rate. Lets just pray everything still looks good today. This is about the time my last pregnancy heartbeat had stopped. Lisa, I am due one week after you. May 11th. I thought May 13th, but the doctor gave me May 11th. It was 2 possible days, guess it took the first one. LOL>>... Either way, better that the days are sooner, and not later. I will post as soon as I get back from the dr. Pray for me!

Lisa- how did they confirm that you were 12 weeks "without" an ultrasound? I'm not sure if I missed something. I thought that's what you meant. You said you have another one tomorrow?? Well, I will post once I get back. I also pray you see a great deal at your ultrasound appt. tomorrow. At 12 weeks, I am certain that you will have no trouble!! Also, with that great heartbeat on doppler, I bet you will see your little peanut doing jumps, hehe. :)

Well, I am home now. I couldn't believe how much the once little shrimp thing has grown in just 3 and a half weeks. Wow! That's about all I could say. But, they couldn't get a straight heartbeat because he or she was bouncing all over tha place. LOL... just wouldn't sit still long enough for the doppler to pick up one number. It looked about 167bpm. About the same as before. He or she was swinging its arms around, which were so huge compared to the little buds I seen a few weeks ago. So, everything looked good. If you are 12 weeks like you think... you should see soooo much. It looks like 2 oval shapes.(the head and the body). They look about the same size. But, the feet don't seem as long as the arms. lol. My husband laughs saying it just looks like an alian. lol.. Anyhow, I am sure you will have good news and day tomorrow. And what a validation. Keep posted! I can't wait!! Oh also Lisa- I am at Yokosuka. You at Yokota??

Daniella just got back from my appt. we are so happy to see the baby! the baby is 11 weeks and 2 days. I was relieve when I saw with my own eyes that there's a baby and the heartbeat. Prayers really works cause I did alot of praying on this one and I'm keeping it!:) Good to hear that we both have a great news to share to each other. Ladies if you are not showing any signs of miscarriage and not spotting wait a little while before you let your doctor do a D and C, I waited on mine no matter what negative comment I hear from the lab tech and the doctor, I kept my faith to the Lord and I was patient and I got what I deserve a healthy bouncing baby. Prayers goes out to all who are going to the same situation don't ever loose hope, there's always hope in Jesus. God Bless!

Lisa- that is so crazy, we are due on the same day then. Today I am 11 weeks 3 days, but in the states it would be 11 weeks 2 days. HAHAHA!! So, your due date should be May 11th or so.... That is awesome because Mother's Day is May 14th.. GREAT to hear!!!!! :)

Daniella we are due about the same day but My doctor will schedule a C-section a week early than my due date, she said once you had c-section before it's best to have s-section again for the safety of the mother and the baby she stated. I was going to try for v____al delivery but since she recommend c-section i guess I don't have much of a choice:) anyway as long as the baby get here healthy I don't care however way. So with that I will see my baby a week early... God bless on your pregnancy.

Lisa- I will tell you that I know so many woman who gave birth v____ally perfectly fine after a c-section. Its your choice but some dr's feel strongly about it, because its actually easier for them. Plus, they get more money from you or your insurance that way. LOL ;) But, honestly.... a natural birth wouldn't hurt unless your baby is a big one. :) Either way, I'm sure yours will be perfect!!!

Bobby- how far along are you now?? and also, whatever the dr. says you are, that is pretty much what you are. So, if "you" are off on your dates, then thats not the dr's fault. The dr. is just telling you how far along you are measuring. But, that is only on an ultrasound. You can't be told how far along you are solely on your hormone levels. It has to be from measurements on an ultrasound. They usually are never more than a week off. That is why they say, give or take a week. :)
