Hi
I am 28wks and have been told by my doctor that the baby is very big (waiting on a scan in 2 wks), because of the size the baby it is very high up and putting pressure on my diaphragm resulting in difficult to breath. My doctor told me to see how far I can tolerate it if not I will have to spend the remaining of my pregnany in hospital. Is there anything that I can do to help impove my breathing when it does happen. Its like been claustaphobia.

I am currently 38wks pregnant and have been having difficulty breathing for a couple of weeks. My doctors say that there is nothing I can do for it, not even a hospital stay till I am due. I feel I need oxygen administered at times and wish someone would help me. I do see that having my husband rub my back softly and do what we call "LIGHT TOUCH" with his fingertips up my back and arms relaxes me and helps me breath a little better.

I have asthma and what helps me when my chest tightens up is to put both of my hands on the back of my neck, with my elbows pointing out to the sides. This takes the pressure off of my chest and makes it easier to breathe. Maybe it will help you.

I am 32 wks and I just started really having this problem. It is like I have to take shallow breathes or it hurts on my left side. I cant even move sudden or to much to that side. I dont know if there is anything i can do but i know it is very uncomfortable. I have a 3 year old and moving to keep up with him is extreamly painful and difficult. If anyone has any tips to make it less painful feel free to let me know thank you.
