Hi. I am 6 wks pregnant, confirmed. I had an ultrasound that shows the baby in the uterus (my last pregnancy was ectopic). I had 2 hgc tests. The first placed my pregnancy at 13,000... the 2nd at 18,000. It didn't double. I am unsure if this is a viable pregnancy. I have to wait 2 more days for another test, but is it possible this baby is going to be ok?

I lost my baby with the same simptoms - HCG not doubling. But they double only till certain period of time. I really hope everything will be fine with you. Crossing fingers. Let me know what happened. Good luck!

Dear Christen, as far as I know after levels of HCG reach above 6500 they do not double every two days, it takes as much as four days for them to double. So don't worry about it. My levels did not double in 48 hrs either (it went from 17000 to 26000). The doctor told me it was ok though. The ultrasound detected a heartbeat an I was only 6 weeks pregnant. Good luck to you.
