Low Rising HCG Levels And Empty Sac

Hi, I have been having slow rising HCG levels from weeks 5-6 not doubling as they should be, the last went from 2168 to 3200 in 4 days. Had an ultrasound at 6 weeks but no fetus/heartbeat was found just an empty sac. My Dr said my dates could be wrong and I may not be far along as I thought. How long will HCG levels continue to rise? I have had no bleeding or other miscarriage symtpoms.

Hi Sue. I'm six weeks and my levels aren't doubling, but are raising. Dr. said it could be normal. I have had spotting/bleeding though. I go back for another u/s today. First u/s could only see sac. I will be praying for you!

Hi B.B, I just got my last HCG result this time it crawled up to 4200 in 3 days. I feel as though some of the pregnancy symtpoms are going, still no bleeding...My Progesterone went up 71 to 42 and now back to 49.....I dont feel good about this at all but will have a certain result Monday when I see the Dr. I will pray for you when you have your next ultrasound, hang in there, what were your HCG levels at 6 weeks?

Hey Sue. My hcg levels were 13,000 then 32,000 then 47,000. Dr said that they were high though, and yesterday I had another u/s and there was a baby in there, and I saw the heartbeat, so don't give up! I wll be praying for you!!

Sue: I am going through a similar situation. My first HCG level was 5800 on 1/31 and my latest HCG level was 43,000 on 2/16. The u/s at 8b weeks only showed an empty sac but I have had no other miscarriage symptoms. I went for another blood test today because my doctor wanted to see which way the HCG levels were going but she doens't think this will be a viable pregnancy. I had a previous miscarriage last year. I will keep you posted.
