My last period was June 30, 2005 and I took my first pregnancy test on July 28th showing that I was pregnant. So I thought I was like 7-8 weeks along at this point. I went to the doctor last Friday for an ultrasound and they had trouble finding a heartbeat. I went back today for another ultrasound and they found a heartbeat but they are saying that I am 5 weeks and 6 days. That would mean that my conception date was the 26th. So I find that weird considering that I had a positive pregnancy test on the 28th. Then the doctor and I were talking and I thought everything was ok and then she said that I had placental bleeding which she said that was not bad but she was concerned b/c the heartbeat was slow. She said it was at 100 and should be at 170. Then before this visit she had always acted like as soon as we heard a heartbeat that she would put me on progesterone and this visit she did bit she acted kind of hesitant and kind of like "what is the point" on putting me on it. I have had two miscarriages this year so that is why she was going to put me on it. Anyway, when I saw the heartbeat I was so excited but after talking to my doctor it seems like she thinks my pregnancy is doomed. I would think if I am 5 weeks and 6 days that it would be hard to see a heartbeat anyway but I also have a hard time believing that I am only 5 weeks and 6 days (due to the positive pregnancy test). I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks and I just feel very confused and upset at this point. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them??
