My daughter is 18 weeks pregnant and has asthma and just these past two weeks has had a severe sinus infection and bronchitis.She has been coughing non-stop even though she is taking cough medicine with codeine and was also put on prednisone this past week. In addition, about a year ago she was diagnosed with focal nodular hyperplasia (which is a benign mass on her liver.) They came to this diagnosis after an MRI was performed. The MRI was done because of pain she was having on her right side beneath her rib. At this very moment she has severe pain on the right side of her ribs, to the point where she cannot get out of bed, but will not go to hospital. She thinks she has fractured a rib (she is an occupational therapist in a hospital so she has quite a bit of medical knowledge). I am very concerned and feel I should call the doctor, but she is insisting that I should not call a doctor.
