I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks back in October. I'm just about to turn 44 and have a 9 year old. I discovered I was pregnant on 3/7 and am being watched closely. Initially my HCG levels doubled, now, at 6 weeks, they are taking 4 days to double and my OB believes I will miscarry. An ultarsound yesterday showed the gestational sac. If my #'s don't double tomorrow (3900 currently), he siad he will not be hopeful and will perform as US next Tuesday to confirm. Is there any hope? I have tremendous anxiety!

Good luck to you I will keep you in my prayers, my u/s showed low heart rate, it is so scary. Try to keep the faith and find a happy spot somewhere in your head, Every minute seems like 2 days. Good luck

I have read that it can take up to 72 hrs to double... Has anyone else read that or experienced it? I am surprised the OB said that. Maybe he or she wants to get you prepared in case, but I kinda think - why put u through the worry if it might not be? It does cause so much worry as you know. Try to hang in there. I will also say a prayer. :)
