My pregnancy test was negative! I do have a second and will take it again in another week if I still do not get my period. Thanks again for all of the support!

Kelly, its a good thing that you werent pregnant, so then you wouldnt have to make the choice of deciding wether ypu want to take it out or leave it in.. if you still dont have your period in another week and take the test and it still says negative go to the doctors and get a blood test to be positive,, i dont always trust home pregnancy tests.

Yeah I had a negative test too. So you always want to go in to the doctors office.

I have had the mirena for 2 years now. I have all the symptoms of being pregnant. I have taken 2 HPT both were negative. The doctor took a blood test it to was negative. But I have had 4 kids, and know my body, something is not right here. Can anyone PLEASE help me? I already have 4 kids. I want 1 more but not for a couple more years.

well i dont know about the mirena because i have the paraguard, depending on how long you have had it in maybe you should get it out and try some other type of birth control, because i havent been feeling to good either like how i felt when i was pregnant with my 2 kids and i just had my period for almost a month,, i dont know since i found this web site i dont like the iud any more....and thinking about switching to something else myself..... i guess just wait a little bit longer and see what comes,, hopefully you are not pregnant, and your body is just doing some weird stuff, and maybe the doctor should have a physical or something,..... good luck, let us know what happens...

I have had my merina uid for about 20 months now - or so I thought. While I had the IUD my periods dissapeared completely. Last month I had a light period and though nothing of it. This month however I had an extremely heavy period. I tried to feel for the strings after reading up on the net, but I found nothing. How does something that big fall out without me noticing? I am seeing my doctor this week. I have not had any children and I am 29 years old. They say that it comes out easier if you have not had kids yet. I was so happy with it up until now!

well this totally sucks, i wrote a little bit over a week ago complaining that i had been on my period for like 16 days strait then was off for 2 then back on for 2 again.. well its only been a week and i started again, i am totally scared that something is really wrong here and i am nervous, im gonna call the doctor today though,, does any one know what might be the problem????

Jo B The iud might have went back in you and trust me it does happen.. Theres no way it fell out without you knowing it because mine came out of place and I didnt know it but i did when they took it out its like a cramp when they take it out.

Hi~I just stumbled onto this website but I am so glad I did! My period is one day late- not much I know, but I get my period every 26 days EXACTLY and I always have a day of cramping and then a few days of spotting before I get an actual period on the 26th day. I have had none of my regular period symptoms only sore b___sts which was my first symptom of pregnancy with my 2 year old. I'm worried that I might be pregnant and will take a test tomorrow. Britney- I would get another opinion if you're not comfortable with your Dr's recommendation. It's your body and pregnancy!

Well, here I go again...only 13 days ago I started my VERY light but VERY dark period and already I am having b___st tenderness again. What the hell? So basically I start getting sore b___sts, cramping, moodiness, bloating, weight gain, etc. like at least 2 weeks before my period starts every month. Then it goes away the day I start, but is right back 13 days later!! I feel like I am PMSing more than I'm not!! Has ANYBODY had these problems, pregnant or not?

Eva, well acouple post ago i have posted that this month has been horrible for me with my period. Since I got the paragard in March my periods have been pretty much normal, some heavier then others but always a month apart, well this month I was bleeding for days then it finally stopped then came back then stopped and now i am on it once again, getting the pain like I usually do, back aches and cramps and bloating, plus wanting lots of chocolate. I go get my blood test tomorrow to see if my blood count is okay, then from there decide if I want the paragard out, so we will see i already have 2 and not quite ready for an another yet,,,, but just keep track of your days of how long you are bleeding and then call your doctor,but hey i feel for you it sucks bleeding for a long time
