I missed my period. the only problem is that i have cramps on and off throughout the day. I also have this brownish discharge. I ma not sure if I am pregnany.

It is possible that you are having a miscarraige. Heavy bleeding and cramping are significant signs of miscarrying. HOWEVER, I recently miscarried. And in my search for information about miscarraiges, I have come to the conclusion that every woman's body is different. Some women experience heaving bleeding throughout their pregancy. Some have light/medium bleeding with no cramping, and have miscarraiges. If your bleeding is so much that you are changing your pad every hour, or cramping is harsh, I would suggest you contact your doctor immediately, or go to an emergency. Good luck to you.

Yes Stephanie. There called silent miscarriages. You usually find out if you have had one by seeing your doctor and having a blood test or a scan.

Erin you could be experiencing implantation bleeding as this can look like a brownish discharge.

Angie and Stephanie Yes you can have a miscarriage without knowing it and in some ways it is more devastating than if you were to have the bleeding, cramps etc. I went for my 12 week check up and was really looking forward to listening to my baby's heart beat and seeing her move. I've never felt such emotional pain as having an ultrasound and having the radiologist tell you that your baby is dead. You feel so guilty for not knowing. I think I am pregnant again now after 12 months of trying (a week overdue) and am getting confirmation in two days time. Now of course i am terrified that the same will happen again. I'm praying to God every day to not take this one away.

Hi meagan, I know how you feel I have a heavy period too today and really bad cramping and pain in my lower abdomen. I am suppose to be getting a preagnancy test today and if I am I will be about 4 weeks. I really don't know if I am having a miscarriage.
