hi girls... some good news and bad news... first (and only) IUI didn't work this month, so I'm disappointed, of course... BUT... am switching insurance 01/01/08 and IVF is fully covered!!!... very excited and feel blessed regarding that discovery... don't think IUI was an option for me because of male infertility issues, but RE feels IVF could def. do the trick... now the $$$ won't be an issue... please pray for me and my insurance :)

Thanks for all of the well wishes, girls. It means alot. Although, I've gone through alot I feel positive that all will be well. I did the 3 hr glucose test today. Yuck! It's over. JEANETTE-That is wonderful! My insurance covered 90%. Not sure if you have Blue Cross. I just stopped to pray for you... It's going to work for you. You know that I did IVF. Any questions, feel free to ask me. Girl, I've been there. :o) Now, I am preggo with twins. When would you start? Can you start in Jan or Feb? Jeanette, don't be down about the IUI not working. It wasn't your time... Be patient and keep your head up. Such a blessing to have insurance to pay all of bill for IVF. I met so many women whose insurance only covered half or less. You are blessed! Be confident! Your time is coming!

Hey Katrina, how are you doing? I am still super sick with morning sickness. I have to go to the hospital about every two weeks to get IV fluids. Other than that I feel great. I have less than 7 weeks to go until my c-section. Ms. Monet congrats on the test coming back fine!

I am so happy and proud of you girls. SO SO PROUD !!!!! :-) You are the ones giving all of us hope. Hopeful24-can I ask if you have no fibroids returned after surgery ? I know you had only one removed and it wasn't done laparoscopically , is it true ?

thanks for the message, Ms. Monet... actually I do have a couple of questions re: IVF, and yes, I'm going to try to get things moving asap once the insurance becomes effective 01/01/08... so, maybe January, but hopefully, February... February may be a big month, all around, huh? :).... anyway, my first question (if you don't mind answering) is regarding how many times you actually had to go through the entire procedure before this pregnancy with the twins, second question is how many fertilized eggs were implanted (because I'm not sure if three is too many, if it comes to that decision), and finally, did you freeze any for the future?... skip any questions, that's your prerogative, and I completely respect it... I'm going to be 40 in February and it's making some of the decisions a little more critical (at least in my mind, although I'm sure everyone out there feels their situation is critical)... thanks in advance for the advice.

Katrina, it is true! I have only had one ultrasound and as far as the tech could tell there was nothing she could pick up. So I am praying they haven't. I didn't have the option to have it removed laproscopically. Take care!

JEANETTE- I was successful the first time. (Thank God) 3 were transfered... I had to wait alittle less than 2weeks and I found out I was preggo. At first, they thought I was going to have triplets because there were 3 sacs but the third never developed and remained empty. We have 3 that were froze. Will we use them? Not sure. The process is so quick. Its like you are getting a new test every week. Can't believe how fast the process is... The HSG was painful for me because my tubes were blocked... I also hated the injections but its all worth it in the end.... with all the meds. BTW, you most likely will gain weight. Going to the gym will be a waste... You should come over to the pregnancy complications section and click on the Nov/Dec ivfers thread. Everyone there went through IVF or they are just starting out.

Hi Ladies. I'm back after going through the myo surgery, and you were all so right. The surgery went well, and it was over before I knew it. Of course the 1 big fibroid they thought I had actually turned out to be 5, but it could've been worse so I'm grateful. Joker, Sasha, Damajuana, all of you who sent out encouragement, thanks so much. I just kept thinking about all the positive things you had to say, and also how confident the operating room staff all seemed, and I stopped feeling so nervous. The only catch was that I was allergic to just about all of the strong painkillers they had to offer, so they ended up just giving me tylenol. It might as well have been candy. But in spite of that, I took all of your advice to Move and Walk as soon as possible, and even though it was hell and high water, I did it. Got out of bed and pushed that pole down the hall, which felt like a marathon walk. It's been a few weeks now, and I'm still pretty sore and not healing as quickly as I wished, but I'm so happy that the surgery is actually over and I'm healing more and more each day. Whew, what a huge relief. For anyone else who's scheduled to have the surgery soon, now I can say you'll be fine and actually believe you will be. I'm glad to be back, and Joker I hope you get good news by February.

Lexie77-I am So So HAPPY to hear from you. Wasn't sure what's going on with you Lexie. Very Very happy for you that the surgery went well and its over. :-) Did you know where were you fibroids located, front walk, back wall, up or down ? Were you bleeding a lot after surgery ? For how long ? After how many days did you started to feel little bit better, little less pain ? So how many did they removed all together ? Lexie I AM REALLY HAPPY for you. My surgery is approching slowly and I am so so concerned. Did you have MRI prior your surgery ? Did you needed blood transfusion ?

Thank you all for your well wishes! MsMonet how are you doing? I'm so excited for you! Lexie I am so glad your surgery was a success and it is now over...That is best part! It is Over..now the rest of your life is laid out in front of you with no fibroids in the way. I'm glad that we were here to help you and especially happy to hear we were encouraging.. You are not alone..we are here for each other. You will feel like your old self before you know it. I'm so glad I wasn't allergic to any of the painkillers! If they offered anything less than a narcotic I would have developed a severe allergic reaction to it..especially Tylenol :) Take Care. Kat your surgery will be here and over with before you know it. To answer your question about the bleeding..I did not have a heavy bleed and it only lasted a week at the most...

Joker-thank you for your answer. I am terified if I am making right decision, picking out the right doctor. My is regular OBgyn which scares me, because I have a feeling everyone went throught surgery with ER (infertility specialist). My is sugesting me to wait 12 months after surgery just like your Joker, but I am so scared they will grow back by than. And one of mine fibroids (I have 2 by MRI) smaler one 1,2x2,4 cm is in posterior wall just like your was Joker. And then I have one big one (7,7x8,9cm)in front wall. My due date suposed to be this comming Saturday. December22nd so I have ornament with my baby's name from funeral home on my tree and I am so emotional this days. I am just so so terified if I am making right choices. Joker did you had ultrasound ever since surgery to check if you are
fibroids free ? I am praying for all of us at this forum to hold baby one day. Praying for every single person on this forum, because you are all such a wonderful people, who went trought so much stuff.
