Thanks for the well wishes! Believe it or not it's 4 days post op and I'm feeling great! I'm actually kind of bored here at home! I'm so used to keeping myself busy that it's difficult to keep myself still and to try not to over do it. I went to 2 different grocery stores with my dh today and although I took a nap when we got back home I still woke up restless and bored. I'm determined to take my full 6 weeks off because I know that I will regret it if I don't but I don't know if I'll make it that long! I wasn't expecting to feel this well so soon after surgery. KM I hope that my dr will reconsider and give me the go ahead at 4 months instead of 6... we'll see! How are you feeling? When were you given the go ahead to ttc and do you plan on trying soon or waiting for a while? KB

I was told before the surgery that we could ttc 3 months after the surgery. I went to my dr. appt. 2 weeks ago (I think that's when it was) and was told there was no scar tissue and I could stick to the original plan of 3 months (that august). We are going to try immediately. I can't wait... I am so excited.

SASHA-Yes, I got preggo my first IVF.I am in my mids 30's although I feel17yrs old. (36) Lol! The reason I could not get preggo the normal way is because I had lots of scar tissue from a fibroid removal surgery that I had gotten believe it or not just 7 months before. Thank God for IVF. I did get preggo the first cycle. My journey as you might know had its ups and downs but I am here to share with you that you can make it too! Don't give up, Sasha! I will pack up my belongings in Brooklyn and fly to Ohio!!! KM- Well,I have Empire BCBS. They actually covered 90% of everything.I did get preggo the first cycle and they inserted 3 eggs. Still got 3 left that are frozen. Sounds weird to say that...Lol! The 3rd sac appeared but nothing was in it. Thank Goodness, girl. My twins are enough. Lol! Keep the faith! It's going to happen for you. Just think... God already has your date on his calendar. Believe and Prepare! The process went by so quickly. I had appts twice a week in the beginning. You will have ups and downs and have to adjust to the injections but its all worth it... Believe me! I know its going to happen for you!!! You may even have twins! :O) ANGEL-You keep the faith, also. Try again! I believe in you! :o) KB-Congrats! You are on your way! MS ANON-Thinking of you and praying for you! :O) Your day will come! JOKER- I have been on this board for abit and you have never been gone like this. Hope all is well with you and your family!:O)

Welcome Jesca! Hopefuly, you'll enjoy this message board and get much encouragement from it! Please share with us your journey. Ms. Monet~ thanks for the informaton. I just received my big box of meds yesterday and will get ready for my second round of IVF beginning next week with lupron shots. Question: Did you exercise when taking your shots? I love how you enocurage pregnant women to "keep walking and exercising!" Did you do this even when taking shots? I ask you this because I've heard that when taking shots, you should not exercise for fear of your ovaries being ruptured with the excess of eggs. One doctor told me only to walk and another doctor told me to stop cardio all together. What was your journey like with exercising? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much weight did you gain with the twins? I am still trying to lose my weight from my pregnancy (prior to miscarriage) and the weight gain with all 46 fibroids. I still have to lose 30 pounds and it's the absolute hardest thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah- I'm also from Brooklyn! Don't you just LOVE Brooklyn and New York City? I really miss it now that I'm in the midwest - Ohio. KM Williams~ You must be counting down the days till August!!!! Your time is a coming my dear! :) KB~ How are you doing now post op? I'm glad you're taking your whole six weeks even though you are feeling great already! Get your rest! :) Damajuana~ Thanks for posting! So glad your pregnancy with your baby-girl-to-be is going extremely well! :) Kat 123~How is your pregnancy going? Have you found out the gender yet? And Dearest Joker~ I pray that you're doing well! We all miss you here on the message board that you started!!!! I hope that you'll rejoin us soon and let us know what's going on in your journey. We are a "sisterhood" here and here for every single one of us! Please post soon if you're able to too. :) Sasha~

Hi Sasha777! Thanks for checking up on all of us! It's really nice feeling! I'm still home recovering. It's 2 weeks, 2 days post op and it seems like it's been much longer than that. I've had my first post op exam which was basically just my dr checking the incision site and that was it. He reluctantly gave me to ok to drive very short distances but said that he preferred that I not drive at all and I'm still restricted to only lifting the weight of a gallon of milk. He told me to come back in 4 weeks and he would do an internal exam at that time and would revisit the ttc time frame at that point. So, I'm really excited because it seems as though he is willing to rethink the 6 month wait. I seem to be healing pretty quickly. AF came as usual... she was actually 2 days early. I really did think that once the fibroids were gone the cramps would go away too but it seems like they are a lot worse this month than usual? Oh and I've definitely been off my feet a bit more the past few days because I bent over and pulled a muscle in my back so I've been forced to lay still!!!! I guess that this was my bodys way of forcing me to relax! My son would have been due on July 19th so I've had some sad days recently but I'm ok. I have faith that this time next year I'll be carrying my baby boys little brother or sister. Thank you all for sharing your journeys and for your encouragement! KB

Hello everyone. I hope all is well. I am just waiting for August to arrive. I really want to start this month which will be 2 months and 2 weeks post myo but I better sit still and wait until August. Sasha I will be praying for you all this week I hope this IVF is successful. Just keep positive thoughts and never forget to pray. KB I can't believe wre that active post myo... you go girl but make sure you take it easy. I was in the house for 1 month. My husband wouldn't allow me to go anywhere or do anything. I would just watch HGTV all day and nigt.. that is probably why I am on a decorating kick. LOL.... To all those trying this month best of luck and to those who are pregnant God Bless.

Hi all ~ Just wanted to drop a quick note and give you an update. I am now 17 weeks pregnant and all is well! We're having a girl :-) I just want to give all of you who are TTC or waiting to just hang in there, pray, and it will happen for you! My pregnancy has been textbook so far (knock on wood), and I have to tell you, it feels so good to get an ultrasound where the doctor and/or ultrasound tech doesn't get a concerned look on their faces when they see the fibroids. As a background (in case you don't feel like going to the Part 1 site), I had a m/c last May 2007 at 15 weeks and then had an ab myo in October 2007. I waited a little over 5 months, and we conceived on our first try! KB - I know how you feel about your son's due date. I was in a horrible mood last September for the week leading up to my son's due date. Just take it easy, allow yourself to grieve, and know people are thinking about you. Joker? KatarinaK? Where are you?

Hi Jasp~ I took clomid while preparing for IUI. I took it for 5 days at about 1:00 pm every afternoon. On the first day I was fine. The second day I was fine too. On day 3 I started to get a ma__sive headache. On day 4 I literally wanted to bang my head into a brick wall because of all the pain. On day 5 I started to have vision problems. I was very happy when the meds were finished with. I am not telling you this to scare you. I just want to make you aware that clomid does have side effects and they did effect me. Would I take it again? Yes. Absolutely. Why? Because I want a baby. Also, because I know that I can get through 5 days. I read on another post that it's better to take clomid at night. I believe by doing this, the side effects will be diminshed. You may want to try this suggestion. I am sure that there are some people who have no problems with clomid and perhaps you should read their stories. Sasha~

KM, That's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you! I visit my dr for my final post op exam in 3 weeks and he said that we can revisit the ttc time frame at that point because I'm healing a lot quicker than anticipated so hopefully I will be close behind you!!!! At first I said that I was going to use the 6 month wait to refocus and try to get in shape but I'm telling you... if the dr gives me the ok to ttc sooner then I'm going to be on the ball! Good luck and you will definitely be in my prayers!!! KB

KB thank you for your support but I have good and bad news. My husband will be going out of town when I ovulate so we have decided to wait until August. At first I was upset but there is nothing I can do about it. God's blessing on your post-op appt. I hope you are able to try sooner than the 6 months he suggested. God Bless to everyone trying this month and to those who are pregnant.
