hello. my mother had a tubal done 11 years , three months ago and claims she can not get pregnant. well, i think she is wrong. i took a cla__s and she has certain signs though she denies it. she has bloating, pains, and her muscles stretch and weird cravings.

I am 30 years old and have an 8 yr old son. I had my tubes tied during my c-section when he was born. They were tied and cut, and possibly burned, but I don't know for sure. I may have to get the op report from my dr. The dr. was very reluctant to do the surgery, becuase I was only 22, but I had severe complications and spent 90 days of my pregnancy in the hospital becuase I'm diabetic. Even though I've wanted more children, I feel I made the right decision beacuse the strain on my body from another pregnancy would make it hard to be a good mom to my son. ANYWAY... my periods have been very irregular since my tubal, but even by those standards, I am about 3 weeks late. I feel fluttering feelings and pressure in my stomach, but none of the cramps I normally have. My b___sts are tender, and the scar from my CS scar feels like it is stretching. I have taken HPTs in the past when I was late, but always negative and always got my period right after. I was about 3 weeks late last year and then bled for 2 days with a very large clot, which I now think may have been a miscarriage. What are the chances I could be pregnant again? I hate to get my hopes up.

Iv'e had my tubes clamped for 11 yrs now. I had it done when i was 24. My period was sept. 24-28, 2006. I started bloating about 1 week ago. Now my nipples are really sesitive and my areolas(?) sting like bees stinging them. I look like i'm 3 or 4 mths pregnant. I have heart burn and hurting in my stomach and cramps in my sides. Some mornings i wake up to feeling like i've been doing too many sit-ups. This morning i feel like i've been kicked in the stomach at the top and feel sick in the same spot. I don't think i'm pregnant, what i want to know is i've heard clamps come off after about 10- 11 yrs. Can this happen and can you get pregnant? Carry it to term? Please someone answer this and the other women on this thread. I would be sooo happy if i got pregnant. Helpppp.

update: Here's my syptoms. Because my thread was so long. Tender stomach, really bloated, tender nipples, sore areolas, feeling of being kicked at top of stomach, feeling like muscles being over excersised, feeling sick at top of stomach, heart-burn, head-aches, fluttering in stomach( esp. if i lay on stomach), stomach hurts if i lay on it, constipated, ga__sy, cramps in my sides( but not bad), pressure in my stomach, just feeling blah, just all around feeling i'm about to start period which should not start till oct. 24-28. What does all this mean? I'm still sure i'm not pregnant. But would love to be. Is it just wishful thinking?

Well, I took a HPT last night and it was negative. But all the symptoms are still there. Since my tubal, my periods have been very heavy and very painful, and I usually have cramps for about a week beforehand... so far, nothing. Is it possible to be pregnant and have a negative result? If its an ectopic pregnancy, does it still show up on a home test? Should I go to my dr. for a blood test?

This is to Pamela1971: I was wondering if you have gotten a pregnancy test. if you are having symtoms then you have to have already missed a period. You normally don't even begin having pregnancy symptoms until you have either missed a period or you are very close to starting it. But feelings of fluttering in you stomach is usually not even felt until about the 3rd month. Everyone is different though. I would take a pregnancy test to find out for sure. RE: babeinthecloud: Thank you for answering me. I looked up online pregnancy test on this site and it said just going by my cycle i could be 2 weeks. I think it's just wishful thinking but now my nipples are so sore i can't stand my shirt touching them. I'm not sheduled to start till oct. 24- 28. I really wish my clamps would fall off so maybe it's just wishful thinking? Also, I have blue veins starting to stand out on my b___sts. And i was sick after kids got on the bus this morn. This is for Pamela1971. It really does sound like you are pregnant. With all those sign's I would think you are. I would do a test now. With the sign's being so strong it might show up on a test, even if it's a really faint line. I had my tube's done when I was about 27, my son was 10 month's old, and my hubby said it would be easyer to give more to 2 then 3. I love my husband but I wish I never had it done. We have had so many fight's about me going and getting them undone, but he say's no. I had the left clip taken off, in 2001, I had them done in 2000. But I still have the right 1 on. I wish mine would fall off to, but yes I think it's wishfully thinking as well. Whe I go to bed, I pray to god to let me have just 1 more baby. If that ever happen's then I would tell my hubby to get the snip, I only want 3. I have a girl 11 and a boy 6..

rttj2000: I go through days when i feel i might be then days when i say i can't be. It's nerve racking. My daughter, Felicia took cla__ses and said tubes come undone more often then dr.'s let on. She seems to think i am. I've been dissapointed so many times though. As for a test, i figure it's too early. Plus i'm scared of being wrong yet again. I wish i never had this done. But then my husband says if you hadn't theres no telling how many kids you would have now. lol. Have you read the threads on here? The yr 2000 seems to be a good yr for them coming undone which would be good as far as your case. Good Luck, hun. As for praying, i do it every nite. I'll pray for both of us tonite when i go to bed. Lol, forgot to mention. I've felt like crying lately about everything. As Felicia can vouch i don't show emotions. I posted this same question on the pregnancy thread to see what the ladies who are getting pregnant think (no reply yet). And when i saw a women on there talking about she was deffinatley pregnant i almost cryed! But, i'm happy for her all the same. Maybe our day will come soon.

Brat1975: Yes ectopic pregnancies show up as being pregnant too. If you really think you are pregnant then go get a blood test done (like i'm one to talk lol.) You may have taken the test too soon though it might not be showing up yet. My stomach has been itching lately too, but i put it off because i'm bloated so bad ( i look like i'm 3 mths pregnant). but unlike you i haven't missed a period yet. I don't like going to dr.'s until almost without a doubt because they act like your crazy or you don't know your own body. But better safe. When in doubt.......Hope this helps. Good luck, hun.

Thanks, Pamela... I think I will give it another week and see what happens. I started spotting a little bit yesterday, which I've NEVER done. I always start very heavy, and very bright red... this was almost browninsh and barely at all. And no cramps yet either, which I have every month, sometimes so bad that I have to miss work. So I'm pretty confused. I figure if I haven't really started by next week I will go to the dr.

Update: started this morning. 8 days too early! Just thought i'd let you all know. Guess not pregnant. I'm not giving up though. Been talking to husband and when we get the money we are going to look into reversal. Have ya'll had any luck? I'll be praying for you.

I really don't know how soon you can get pregnant after your tube are tied.
