I have a question. I'm not pregnant, but my big sister just had her baby on Feb. 2nd. Since then she has lost around 65lbs. That isn't normal is it? No one seems to be concerned, but that just doesn't sound right to me. I'm just curious what you ladies think.

how the heck did she lose that much in 1 month? it doesnt seem physically possible to lose that much so soon. she needs to see her doctor who should be very concerned about the drastic weight loss. even if she is b___stfeeding and excercising since the birth that is not good at all.tell her to see her doc asap. i can definitely see losing pounds in the 1st month but no no no,not healthy.

ok well doesn't b___stfeed. she had a c section and a lot of her swelling has gone down. she does go out a lot with her husband and the baby to walk so i'm not sure if that's the cause. she has also always been a little anemic. i love my niece and all, but above all else i want my big sis to stay healthy. she's going to the doc at her 6 week check up and i'm not sure if she's seen her doctor since having the baby.

It seems like a lot but it might not be that bad depending on how much weight she had gained during the pregnancy and what type of weight it was. Some women retain a lot of water and swell up like balloons, but if she only gained around 40 lbs but has lost 65, that is not good.

I gained 30 lbs and lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks so I figure it had to have been a lot of water weight. How much did she gain while pregnant? That is a lot of weight to lose so quickly.
