Low Progestrone And Recurrent Miscarriages

I've had two miscarriages one in December of 2010 and the second one in September of 2011. Prior to getting pregnant the first time, I was charting and thought that I may have low progestrone being that I only had 9 days from when I ovulate until when I get my period. In April of 2011 I went to a specialist and they did blood work and confirmed my progestrone was low. They started me on chlomid and I got pregnant. Initially my progestrone level was good and my doctor said that was because of the chlomid. At about 6 weeks it started to drop and they started me on va___al suppositories (endometrium). At 10 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Has anyone had success with progestrone supplements? Should my doctor have started me on it right after I ovulated? I feel like I have no hope that having a successful preganancy will actually work for me. Does anyone have any success stories with this issue?
