k-thanks, I will let you know what I find out from her tomorrow. I am anxious to hopefully get some answers. I cant really say when I should get my af-how do you know? I was 6.5 weeks pg, we had seen the heartbeat 3 days before I m/c...how do I determine dates? My cycles usually averaged 31 days...I had my most fertile days generally 18 dpo...should I say the date of my D&C is first day of af and count from there? in that care my af would be expected on 4/28! I have a hard time making sense out of all this...it is so confusing.

Good news ladies! I went for the u/s today and I am 6w1d pregnant. We got to see a heartbeat - it was 128bpm and the rest of the picture didn't make that much sense to me to be honest. I guess this means conception was on 23 March, just under 5 weeks after D&C. I can't remember exactly but I think the last time we were intimate around that time was on the 19th, which means the sperm must have survived for at least 4 days! Go you buggers :-)

congrats sandra that is fantastic news..thanks for the update.. Well keep us updated occasionally and watch out for our BFPs!!!!! Hope you have a very uneventful 7 .5 months!!!

sandra-congratulations! that is great news-I wish you all the best! did your doc say anything about it being so soon after D&C? did you have an af in between? I am so happy for you-it gives me encouragement. Please keep us posted-we are rooting for you!

Congrats Sandra! Hearing that you ovulated 5 wks after D&C gives me hope...I'm 4wks past D&C right now, and have no idea where I am in my cycle. I've been thinking that I'm just waiting for af to show at this point, but if there's any chance that maybe I haven't ovulated yet and I can still try this cycle, that makes me happy! I just hate not knowing where I am! Was your cm any different during this cycle? I have absolutely none right now (sorry if tmi), so I'm really clueless about where I am in my cycle! Kathy, K-had f/u appt today, 3.5 weeks from D&C. some confusion and frustration on my own part-wanting to make sure that my doc treats my desire to be proactive seriously, I felt a little as though she brushed me off but I am also wanting answers and things to be done that she said just aren't feasible at this time. she said to take baby aspirin if it makes me feel better and that I am being proactive, there have been studies to show that it does build your uterine lining and she said that it wouldnt harm me or a baby to take it. we can ttc at any point, she said they like to wait one cycle for dating purposes but with technology today they can determine that w/o a date. and for emotional reasons they tell you to wait too but for all those who arent sure if you should wait or not, I say go for it. she said that if your body isnt healed or ready you wont conceive, that if your lining isnt thick enough ythere wouldnt be any implantation. lastly, I asked about progesterone testing-she said that they cant do that for me now b/c my body is not clear as to my ovulation schedule and that if I wait 2 cycles they can test me on my 2nd, one week after I ovulate and if low put me on a prescription. which needs to be done at time of ovulation in order to benefit. I asked if you can be tested once you find out your pregnant and she said what I think I heard is that it wouldnt matter at that point it is something that needs to be taken prior to or at time of conception-anyone have other thougths? or been told something else? I didnt get my hcg levels tested-is that weird? I mentioned it and she didnt say anything other than it takes awhile to go down. relieved that I am healed but annoyed that there is really nothing I can do to prevent another m/c at this time!

Staci - I had no af inbetween and the doc said i wouldn't have conceived if my body wasn't ready. She also said that the risk is no greater than any other time. Kathy - I thought I had fertile mucus for 2 weeks, weeks 4-6 after D&C. But temps only starting climbing after we had conceived, and the 2 needs to go together for ovulation to have happened. I would really encourage everyone to do the charting, it does help. It is also worth noting that when I got my very faint positive the first time it was only 10dpo. Explains why it was so faint in the beginning and my HCG levels were so low.

sandra..im charting too..and my temps have been climbing for 4 days now..did you have any spotting at all???

Hi Sarah, no I've never had any spotting with either of my pregnancies.

I go in on the 27th. to find out how far along I am. Pregnancy signs are here 10 times which makes sense that I didn't have them last time. I don't remember being this sick with my last two. I am already putting some clothes away that I can no longer b___ton. Keep fingers crossed and will update you with what week I'm in.

Hey all! AF came to visit me on friday. Have been bummed about it all weekend through today. I had all the signs but refused to believe it because i wanted to be preg. so bad. What do I do. I am so frustrated. It didn't take me this long to get preg. with my other two children. Maybe I am trying too hard. I wasn't trying that hard with my other two. Anyone else gone through this?

well, tested this afternoon-faint line, called doc and they are having me come in for test today...freaking out! could i really be pg already? its been 4 weeks2days since D&C, nurse said it is possible. I dont want to get my hopes up nor worry about m/c again yet...so scared. will they test hcg levels too today and then again on friday or what should I expect? she just mentioned coming in for pg test. yikes!

Hey! I'm so confused i was sondering if you all could help me out a little... i had a m/c on 3/18 @ 11 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. i had my d&c on 3/21 and i still haven't gotten AF, i've taken 2 hpt and both say not pregnant. That is all i want though to have a baby. I have the discharge like when i was pg and i pee a lot, but no sore b___sts like first time. please help should i take another test?? ^ weeks no AF on monday...

Hi guys, I started m/c March 30th and stopped bleeding 5 days later April 3rd. We decided we were't going to start trying again until I had 1 menstrual cycle but we found out we were pregnant again last week with a home pregnancy test. I am so happy but a little afraid as I have heard that it can be dangerous to fall pregnant straight after miscarrying but hopeing for the best of course. My question is: how do they calculate the due date if you fall pregnant straight after miscarrying with having a period?

Hi Goergia - many ppl say it starts the day you started m/c. My dr said the only way to tell is to go for a scan at which point they can tell you. But don't go too early as they won't be able to tell anything before 6 weeks. Most HPT will only show bfp at ~4 weeks, so you can use that as an indication as well.
