Dont Know The Father Of My Child

I am 23 and my little boy is now 2. When I got pregnant with him I was seeing some bloke (who I wasn't really that interested in) but I was sleeping with someone else as well. I broke up with my fella and didn't tell him I was pregnant. But he found out from someone else when I was 5 months gone. He asked if it was his and I said yes, even though I was not sure whether it may have been the other guys. The other guy wanted nothing more to do with me and I have never seen him again, wuoldn't even know how to contact him. I have never let the man that beleives he is my babies dad have anything to with him, so basically my son has no father. It is really bothering me now that I dont know who the father is. The problem is my family do not even know that there is a possibly of another dad - they think it is the bloke I was with and that he was a creep and didn't want anything to do with me or the baby. I dont know what to do!!!

Do you think I should just let everyone including my son beleive that the father is the bloke I was originally seeing??? I mean afterall theres is a 50/50 chance its him anyway!

Tricky. Your son will want to know who his father is, especially if it comes to filling in forms about inherited diseases. I wonder if you could confess to your ex that the reason he has not been allowed to see your son is that you were not sure he was the father, and would he mind doing a paternity test. If it turns out he is the father and he is not a complete creep, then you could let them spend some time together.
