My girlfriend and I have had s_x for 3 months. We use someing called the rythm method. She said we can have unproted s_x this way. The only thing is It seems like we just have s_x whenever. She said he friend told her about it. I love not warring a comdom, and c_ming in her, but I don't see any effort to stop pregnancy. We are only 17 and don' t need a kid right now.Is this a good method of birthcontrol? How does it work?

Your girlfriend is conning you. She wants to get pregnant. The rhythm method may help couples get pregnant, but it doesn't do much for folks trying to avoid pregnancy. This link http://kidshealth.org/teen/s_xual_health/contraception/contraception_rhythm.html tells that you have about a 25% chance of a pregnancy in one year if you use rhythm correctly, which you don't. http://www.ppowb.org/fertility.htm explains why. Get your gf to get a prescription for the pill and make sure she is following the instructions to the letter. You are very lucky not to have had a pregnancy already.

Look Matt, the rhythm method is not for the faint hardy. It has only partial success when two people KNOW what they are doing. For beginners of this method, it is only ONE step this side of no protection at all. If she isn't pregnant already, you're a very lucky man! At 17 I don't think neither one of you are masters at the rhythm method yet. Are you ready to be a daddy?
