Well long story short... took Plan B because the condom broke. Period was expectedly off. Got it two days after taking the pill (two weeks after my previous period). Well then I got another period two weeks after that one. Ok fine... then I had my period 5 weeks later. I was worried when it was missed, but I got it, so fine. Well again, now it's been four months since I last took Plan B and I am going on two weeks late after the last just described. How long does Plan B affect your period?!? I heard only 1-2 months, but this is twice that! Please help, I hate stressing every month whether this is hormonal or pregnancy. I had PMS symptoms a week and a half ago. I was very emotional/irritated and my br___ts (still) are really sore (not common during my PMS), no cramping . Anyone know if this is common or if I should worry? Personal experiences?

no personal experience but have you taken an OTC pregnancy test? if you're approx 2 weeks late and pregnant then the hormone should already be in your system. if it's just plan b messing with your cycles, you wouldn't still have the hormone from leftover from your pregnancy 3-4 months ago (it usually goes away within a month or so).

No I haven't taken a pregnancy test because I under the a__sumption that it was just Plan B. I am going to get a few tonight though, thanks for the reply :)

I have heard women complain about an upset cycle for 2 months after PlanB, but no longer. Have you been having s_x right along? Maybe you had a recent contraceptive malfunction. Let us know how the test goes. GL!

oh god, i just got a positive OTC test. i am scheduling an appointment for a doctor's pregnancy test tomorrow.

Congratulations! False positives are rare, and you have the signs to back it up. A first trimester ultrasound will date the pregnancy. Don't forget the prenatal vitamins, important in the first weeks. GL!
