Aren't people educated at all about pregnancy? It's completely harmless to masturbate all the way up to birth.

That's what I thought, but why then does the author of "What To Expect When You're Expecting" instruct that "Orgasm, particilarly the more intense kind that may be triggered by masturbation, may be prohibited in pregnancies at high risk for miscarriage or premature labor."? (pg 235 3rd edition). There is no further explanation to this statement. Newly pregnant women have no idea where they're risk level is until something happens. And if they're over 35 (like me) aren't they pretty much at higher risk for everything? Anyone know why intense orgasms would ever be prohibited for any pregnant woman under any circ_mstances?
