VERY Faint Positive On Pregnancy Test

It's 5pm and I just took a spur of the moment First Response hpt...I got impatient and couldn't wait until first morning pee... A second very faint line appeared. I am 2 days late for my period, have had slight AF-like cramping on and off, but have no other symptoms. Anyone know what the chances are that this was a false positive? Can I even call it a positive if the line was really faint?

If you got the second line (even a very faint one) within the time frame allowed (usually 5-10mins) & you weren't taking any fertility drugs, then it is VERY VERY unlikely that it is a false positive, so CONGRATS!!! Most of the early symptoms of pregnancy are very much like pms eg, sore b___sts, cramping, bloating etc & most women don't start getting morning sickness until around 6-8wks. If in doubt just do another test in couple of days to give your hormones a chance to increase, & give you a darker result.

alright, as usual for the last several nights, I woke up VERY early to pee. I decided to take another test using first morning pee and got a negative test. Anyone had this happen before? I am crushed. Is there a chance I am still pregnant? Even with this negative test? I still have no period...

Was the second test also a First Response?

yes, the second test was also First Response. I have had some AF-type cramping this morning and just started to bleed a little bit. Not sure if it's a normal period yet - time will tell. I am really depressed.

Sorry to hear that. See if this "period" is normal then test again. I wonder if it was what is called a "chemical pregnancy" where it just doesn't implant properly or if the tests were just defective.
