i went to the doctor and they told me i had low thyroid..i really want to know 2 things that are just in mind..can i get pregnant if i have low thyroid?and is it true that when i start taking the pills the dr. gave me i can lose weight??

I had my thyroid removed in June '09, and started taking pills at the same time. I'm happy to tell you that I'm almost 5 weeks pregnant!
You can get pregnant w/ low thyroid, but I wouldn't try to until your thyroid hormone is regulated, I had an early miscarriage a few months ago b/c mine was still too low. (you may also experience abnormal menstrual cycles)
With normal eating and exercise, you should lose a few pounds. I was a normal weight before my surgery, gained 10 pounds and lost most of it when my levels were normal again.

Yep, definitely true on both counts. I'm on my third pregnancy, and I've rarely had a problem with weight, but I've also been stabilized for 12 years. It might take a bit, but once your levels start leveling off you should be able to drop the pounds with greater ease.

i had a question i dont know how to ask my own question on here ??/ ummm can u get pregnant a week before ur period???? and can u get pregant off of prec_m and what is the likely hood of that??
