I am on the birth control seasonique, with wich i only have a period every 3 months. I had my last period starting the 15 or 16th of sept i believe, but it was not normal at all it was very short and light. I have not had s_x since then, but i had regular unprotected s_x with my bf before this. for the last week i have been naseous, i had some brown spotting, and sharp cramps in my lower abdomen, i am constantly exhausted and dizzy with headaches. i took a cheap pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative. could i be?

I just went thru alot of problems with my bf so i thought it mite of been stress, but its not getting any better.

sounds like your period coming to me. and honestly, you shouldn't have started your pill until you were sure you weren't pregnant from your unprotected s_x. i don't see why you couldn't have him wrap it up before you started the pill. isn't that the point of getting on the pill? so the point of unprotected s_x before your protected would be...trying for a baby?

Teddy, some people consider having s_x while on the pill but not using a condom to be "unprotected" s_x, which seems to be the case here as she said she had "unprotected" s_x with her boyfriend while taking the pill as instructed prior to her period.
AleeshaI, how long have you been on this pill? Many of the symptoms you describe are potential side-effects of the pill itself (or coming off of the pill, as you are since you stopped taking it a month ago). While on even the regular birth control pill most women have lighter periods (I was prescribed the pill for this reason as a teen because I became anemic).
It is very doubtful that you are pregnant if you took the pill roughly the same time every day and have not had s_x since you stopped taking the pill. A combination of both stress and starting/stopping the pill seems the most likely suspect, but if you're still worried talk to your doctor about it. While you're there be sure to ask him about the potential side-effects of what he prescribes to you and explain what you've been feeling. If s/he still suspects pregnancy, they can send you for a blood test which is even more accurate than the home pregnancy tests.
