can you get your period and still be pregnant, i heard of this before, but wasnt sure if it was true. Has this ever happened to anyone?

yeah it can happen. I was 8wks along and had my period both months before finding out I was pregnant with my daughter (who is almost 8yrs old now) it took a blood test to finally find out I was pregnant with her since my body didn't said otherwise

You cannot have a "period" while preganant. A period is the shedding of the uteral walls. You can have spotting, which can mimick a period.

well then with my daughter it mimicked a period for 5 days of heavy flow. which also gave me 3 negative pregnancy test just to find out 3 wks later that I was 8wks along.

yes it can happen... with my second baby for the first two months i had a period.. not as heavy or same color but my doc said it was still a period
