I have been on birthcontrol for awhile, however i stopped about 2 weeks ago. So of course, i started my period for about a week, and after i my period i had unprotected s_x. I am still off birth control because my family is unable to afford it in our financial binding, but i had unprotected s_x like last tuesday, thursday and friday. I know that you can always get pregnant without using protection, but what are the chances because i don't think that i would have ovulated that quickly...?

Some women have decreased fertility for a few months, but others actually have increased fertility for a few cycles immediately after stopping the pill. Unfortunately there's no way to determine which of those women you might be. It's also difficult to predict when ovulation should occur because many women have slightly irregular cycles when stopping the pill. Normally it's 14 days before the start of your next period, but since it would be hard to say when your next period is due to start, it's hard to predict. But sufficed to say, you are playing with fire here and you are at real risk of getting pregnant. All you can do now is stop having unprotected s_x (in case you haven't already gotten pregnant and still have yet to ovulate this cycle), and wait for your period to show up. If it hasn't shown up when you'd roughly would expect it to, take a home pregnancy test.

right, so either way, i had s_x that friday and i heard that sperm can live up to 5 days but usually only 48 hours. A baby wouldn't be terrible, so is it common for it to live longer than 48 hours? i figured out that my period started March 28/29 at night time, so i figure last saturday or sunday i would ovulate (if at all) and i had s_x friday morning, would that have stayed in there that long? ha sorry so much to read!!

baby maybe - yes the sperm could very much still have been alive. There is a chance that you could have gotten pregnant. You can start taking hpt as early as 10 days after ovulation.
