I am 21 and have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years. I have been on alesse for as long as i've been with him. I take my pill everyday at the same time everyday and Never missed one. Whenever I am taking an anti-biotic I always make sure we use backup protection. With all that being said I have some concerns.
For the past little while I've noticed some changes. I just finished what should have been my period but it was really weird. My periods have always been very light and very short. I know this is caused by the birth control but they have gotten to the point of lasting one day. This period I just finished was only a day but I had very little red blood, it was just brown.
Not only that, My boyfriend and I noticed the Montgomery bumps on my areola have become much more prominent. I've read up on this and it says they could be more prominent due to pregnancy. Also, I feel stabbing pains in my pelvic area and a very sore lower back. Lastly, my nose has been stuffed for the past few weeks, I read this could be a sign of pregnancy as well.
Could I actually be pregnant even though I take my pills perfectly? is there anyone else out there like me how has taken their pill perfectly and still become pregnant?

The failure rate is very low, but since you suspect pregnancy, you should take a couple of tests at one week intervals. Good luck!
