Pregnancy Symptoms After Quot Period Quot LONG

I just wanna know if anyone has had pregnancy symptoms after what they thought was a normal period. In October I had that...and had plenty of symptoms. In November all the previous symptoms stopped and new ones started. Now I'm waiting to see what happens this next period. My whole situation is crazy so I'm going to copy and past from another forum...THIS IS MY STORY!! Back in October was when I had my period a few weeks after s_x. I felt normal before and during that period. But afterwards is when I started feeling weird and definitely thought pregnancy. I always bloat the day my period starts, but it didnt start until the day after my period was over. I had that along with a full/heavy abdomen feeling, changes in appet_te, back pain, hip pain, leg pains, shortness of breath, headaches, dreams galour (not a dreamer). Had weird butt pains and spasms, lol. Then in November, my last period, was weird. My periods usually last 5 days and always start on the third Wednesday of each month, early in the morning. I was expecting it but it didnt show. Let me add in that it's came on time even during stress since I started these birth control pills a year ago. I felt like I normally would...all the past symptoms stopped. Anyways, it ended up showing on Thursday, a day after the norm. It only lasted 4 days, then I had 2 extra days of brown spotting. When I always finish on that 5th day, never any extra spotting days. Well, when that period ended, I became really fatigued. Still am. I also became really thirsty and I pee a lot. Still am. Easily overheated, especially during sleep. Got lower leg cramps. Also have been having lots of discharge. I told my younger sister about it and most of the things I said she had. And she just had her baby about 4 months ago. I've taken three pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. I'm still taking my pills, just in case I'm not. I'm on a very low dose, so it's not going to hurt the baby if I am. But since I am on birth control, this is weird too. Birth control stops ovulation, but I had cramps around the time I would have had it (recently). I felt them like two days straight and looked at the calendar and sure enough it was right on that time. I dont know what that was about. I'm waiting to see what happens during and after this next period, which will be in less than a week. If this one isnt normal, I'm definitely going to get a blood test done! I'm back to feeling weird like I did back in October not the pains, but just feeling full after a little of eating. I've also had a dream of taking two pregnancy tests and they came back positive. If I'm not pregnant, I'm going to get an ultrasound done to check for cysts.

The home pregnancy test should work now... The birth control may be causing the "feeling" of being pregnant... When I was on b.c. it made me soo sick that I couldn't use it... even at the lowest doses... Birth control keeps you from ovulating, becuse it tricks your body into thinking its pregnant...(it's sounds weird) In case you are pregnant, you should go to the doctor for a blood test and another thing it could be is a tubal pregnany...(I hope not) When did you start taking the birth control?? If it was recently your body may have to adjust to it... and even if you're not pregnant you should go and mention what is going on to your doctor... I wish you the best! and hope you find out soon... P.S. lower leg cramps are not a good sign for when on birth control, definatley tell your doctor ok hun!

I think that most likely you have cysts. I would rule out an ectopic/tubal pregnancy, if you had that, you would KNOW, according to my gyn. You would not just feel weird, you would have PAIN. While pregnancy isn't entirely out of the question, it's highly unlikely in the scenario you present. Good luck.

I've been on birth control for about 2 years...I've been on this low dose for a year now...my periods have been regular while on these pills. So I dont think it's because of the pills. It could be a cyst. As soon as I get my insurance together I'm going to get it checked out. Most of the symptoms I had and still have are of pregnancy. But I think it's highly impossible cause a condom was used too. There's still that small chance though. I'll get it checked out! Thanks for the replies!!

I've also had more oily skin and acne...after my period. Which never happens, I dont break out to begin with. As much as I was peeing this past month, my cousin even asked if I were pregnant. And that crossed my mind before she even asked. That was part of the symptoms I had after the second period. I'm to the point where I feel the need to go to bed at 7 o'clock now, when I'm a big night person. The symptoms all come and go, so I cant put my finger on what it could be. My b___bs arent sore, they're not different. All the symptoms that I've experienced sort of faded once it came near the next "period." It's starting to do so again, so we'll see what happens like I said. If I am pregnant I'm not showing yet. I guess we'll see. I'm gettin more pregnancy tests, so I'll keep you updated when I take them.

Only lasted 4 days? That's more than substantial enough to definitely be a period. Hell, my periods are *at most* 3 days. I'm sure that most of the women on this forum have had symptoms after a period at one time or another and thought they might have just had early pregnancy bleeding. I know I have. I doubt you're pregnant. While it's possible to not get a positive test until later and it's also possible to bleed like a period during pregnancy, the likelihood of both happening to the same person during the same pregnancy would be so low as to be completely negligible.

Haha, while I agree with you Lin, I'd just like to point out that "only 4 days" is a big difference for those of us who have 6/7 day periods =/ If I had a 4 day period I would think something was wrong too. I haven't had a period shorter than 6 days since I was 13. *still voting that it's a cyst*

I'm going to stop taking my birth control pills for a while. As soon as I get insurance I'm going to get checked out.. I'm starting to think it could be a cyst. I did some research on it and most symptoms of cysts are the same as pregnancy. And I did read that birth control can cause leg cramps but in a bad way. So I'm going to stop all together. I'm starting a new job and we get insurance immediately. So I'll keep you girls posted!!

So, I don't know how old this forum is, but I'm just assuming it's not deceeebr 2015!

I'm curious to know what the outcome was for you ReadyOrNot?

Either way, I wondered if anyone could give me some feedback on my situation:

To set up my situation for you - I have been having irregular periods for a while now, so I never know when to expect my next period, or how long it will last for.

I started having lots of white lotion-like discharge in October. Thought it was yeast infection, but I treated myself for that, and no change. There is no irritation, no smell, not chunky or colored... just white like hand lotion! I read that it's common right before or right after AF, so I brushed it off as AF coming soon. Eventually AF came, but the discharge never went away.

Moving into december, I started having other syptoms: Seriously bloated, full/heavy abdomen feeling, and crampy. I first assumed my period was coming again, and also, with the holiday season I had been eating everything in sight! Also consuming way more alcohol, caffeine, sweets... and did NO exercise whatsoever. (Prior to december, I had been working out regularly and eating quite healthy).

Finally, on CD48, decemebr 23rd, I started my period again. It lasted about 3 days. It was normalish... (as normal as a seriously unpredictable period can be!)

Since then I've had way more bloating, and also changes in appetite, generally achy body (back, neck), leg pains (like RLS type discomfort), cramps... although, not really painful, more like twinges, or odd feeling in lower left side of abdomen.

I know a lot of the cramps are associated with gas, cause I feel relief when it passes, but it certainly doesn't explain the twingy cramp feeling?

I keep thinking it could entirely be the extreme change in diet over the last 6 weeks or so, but that wouldn't explain the discharge I'm still having.

I took a HPT the other day, and it was negative.

I've started eating healthy again jsut this week, but feel too tired, and generally un-well to exercise. I am now way more bloated than ever before, and that cramp/twinge feeling is more often. I'm very thirsty. I feel more ill after eating(regardless of what I eat). I almost feel like my period is coming back again (only I've felt like that for a few weeks straight now - right through the period I had in december).

I can't get an appointment with GYN for another couple of weeks. I'm not in pain, per say, so I wouldn't think it's an emergency - but I certainly am worried/concerned about what the hell is up with me?

The symptoms actually seems to be getting worse. Just extremely bloated, and uncomfortable. I usually have a tiny flat tummy... but the last 2 weeks, I've needed to wear looser clothing!

Any ideas?
