My boyfriend and I took a pregnancy test, and it showed negative. But I'm 2 months late, my br___ts swelled enormously, my nipples are sensitive, and my aureoles are darker, and i get pangs of nausea, but no vomiting (I tend to force myself not to vomit). I feel very pregnant, but the test shows that I'm not. I'm also on mirena, and I did some research, and it says that mirena isn't as effective as they say it is...
I only took one test. Should I take another in a week or so?

oh, and also, I've been having some type of white, milky discharge from my v____a (tmi, maybe...), and sometimes I think it is my period, but it's not... and my senses has heightened greatly... mostly my sense of smell and my hearing...

Yes, take another pregnancy test, first morning pee, dip method. If it is still negative you may have a hormone upset for some other reason - cyst or glands - and need to see a doctor anyway. It is not common for a pregnancy to give negative urine test at two months, but occasionally someone will claim it happened to them. Come back and let us know how it goes. Thanks!

**** and how long have you been on Mirena? Perhaps you should go to the Mirena web site and look up possible side effects. GL!

It is almost my second year on mirena. I have no kids, but I couldnt take the pills because of my blood pressure problems, and i don't like needles, so depo was out of the question.
I am going to wait until the end of the month, and see if my period does come... and if it doesn't, I will go to the doctor.

I went to planned parenthood a couple days ago, and as soon as I told her I was on mirena, she would not let me talk anymore. She just kept telling me it was natural for no bleeding to happen on mirena (and wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell her my doctor told me, since I never have had a kid, it wouldn't be like that for me) and pretty much ignored my pregnancy symptoms. I hate planned parenthood, really...

Sorry you did not get a more sympathetic consult at Planned Parenthood. It is true that one user in four ends up with no period, but you would think that after two years your body would have decided how to handle it. Could it have slipped? Do you feel for the strings every month to make sure everything is in place? If the signs persist you will need to see a doctor to discover the cause - pregnancy or something else. GL!
