Hi, I am seventeen and I had unprotected s_x on the 6th and 7th of March with my boyfriend using the withdrawal method (I know we should have used protection). My boyfriend had some pre-c_m but then he put his p__s back in. My period should be due between the 12th-14th and no later. When is the possible earliest time that I am able to take a pregnancy test to find out if I am pregnant. I need to know because when my period comes I am prescribed to take some medication but this medication can cause deformities to an unborn child. I am scared I will confuse implantation bleeding with my period and then cause harm to the baby (If I am pregnant). Is there a way I can tell the difference between implantation bleeding and a period straight away. Sorry if this is confusing, but I really need help. Thank you :)

S_x one week before your regular period is due is not likely to get you pregnant. The egg drops 14 days before, and is good for only one day. Sleep easy, but some condoms of your own, and good luck!

First response brand pregnancy tests claim to give an accurate pregnancy test five days before your missed period. However, every woman is different and it's quite possible you will not have an accurate test until after your expected period. Implantation bleeding is kind of hard to confuse with a period, it would be much lighter than a period last only a few days and arrive about a week (give or take) before your expected period. If you continue to use the pull out method you can expect to be pregnant sooner or later. Use at least two forms of birth control to prevent pregnancy as birth control can fail. Good luck.
