Yep, just braxton hicks. I went into premature labor at 26 weeks. Trust me, you would know!

yeah mine either. just make sure they go away after a while. and if you're ever in doubt or nervous, give your doc a call. they expect those kinds of calls.

I had braxton hicks but they were like hours apart and often triggered by something [i.e. If I went for a long walk or worked around the house I would get them] When I was dehydrated toward the end of my pregnancy I was having them like every 10 minutes... I knew it wasn't labor though because when you're in labor they will be constantly every like five minutes [or less] apart like clockwork, and they will be painful... Okay maybe painful isn't the right word because I didn't think they were that bad. Very uncomfortable though.

Finally someone who feels the same way I do. I constantly hear people say contractions were painful, but I didn't think they were. What was painful was when the baby gets so low and ready to come and the contractions are pushing him down so hard it feels like he's going to tear out of your a__s. Sorry for that visual...but yeah-contractions were so weird to me that I found them to be fun.

I didn't think it felt like that.. haha. They were saying "When you feel like you need to poop, tell us" I never did. It just felt like a head coming out... That's the only way I can describe it. I could feel like shape of her head, I told the nurse it felt like someone's fist and she looked at me like I was crazy haha.

Yeah I didn't really feel like I had to poop, that's the weird thing, but it....god I don't know how to describe it....it felt like a huge fist, but for me it felt like it was going to come out before things had a chance to naturally stretch, so it felt like it was going to tear through the wall between the v____a and the colon-if that makes more sense. What's funny is that you didn't feel that way and I was terrified that it was worse for people with bigger babies. I have been terrified of the next time I give birth and have a normal sized baby, cuz my son was 5 lbs 15 oz when he was born. Also I think maybe one of the reasons it felt like that for me is because of a tilted uterus-maybe it causes the whole path to be more towards my back end or something.

Hm, Ellie was 6lbs 4oz... Maybe I was just lucky but I didn't think labor hurt at all. I mean, the group-b strep was more uncomfortable for me haha. Basically I was just sitting through the contractions having friendly conversation with the people who were visiting me, then they checked my dilation and said "Okay if you want an epidural you have to get it now" so I did... and the epidural guy was like okay this is going to sting, but I barely felt it at all. Then when it came time to push I was just tired from the lack of sleep I had. The episiotomy bothered me a little bit but it was just kind of a burning sensation like if you put on a hot patch. Even afterwards I wasn't in pain... Just uncomfortable. So yeah I didn't think it was that bad at all, in fact I'm considering going without the epidural the next time.
