on Oct. 12-16 was when i was fertile and oct 16th was the day of ovulation.prior to that i was reading over tons and tons of articles and women who have had babies b4 said that having s_x 1 or two days before ovulation was a high chance of getting pregnant...now its Oct. 21 and since the 16th ive been having lower abdominal cramps on the right side.and coming to think of it me and my boyfriend had s_xual intercourse 2 days before i ovulated. Me n my boyfriend have been ttc for a while and last time i got my period =( so it was a disappointing. so were hoping that this time it will work..So what i'm asking is for women who had a child already, could you give me any advice on anything after ovulation, these cramps are killing me. it comes and goes and when i apply pressure to the right side it goes away then comes back..i'm not sure if i'm going through implantation or not...

I don't think implantation really feels like anything... The only real way to tell is wait for your period and take a pregnancy test. Those cramps could be anything.

: Implantation cramps? Posted Wednesday, April 18, 2007 6:21 PM Q: It feels like I have menstrual cramps. Does this mean I didn’t get pregnant? A: Nope. A bit of cramping about eight to ten days after ovulation might actually be a sign that you are pregnant. These pains -- known as implantation cramps -- can happen when the newly fertilized egg burrows itself into the wall of your uterus. If implantation is to blame, cramping should be minor and brief (lasting only a day or two), and may be accompanied by light spotting called implantation bleeding. Wait a few days, and if your period doesn’t show up when expected, break out the pregnancy test. (Good luck!) If at any point in your pregnancy cramping is severe, lasts more than a couple of days or occurs after a positive pregnancy test, head straight to your doctor. It's probably just gas or the feeling of your growing uterus, but it's important to rule out miscarriage, pre-term labor, placental abruption, preeclampsia, and urinary tract infections. Hope this helps. I personally didnt have them. Or if i did, i didnt notice. My 1st symptoms were sore b___sts, fatique, and headaches.

OF conceiving...OF. not IN... Anyway, before I and perhaps some other ladies here give you advice on how to conceive-- dare I ask... are you financially, emotionally and logistically prepared to raise a child...?

I don't remember feeling anything like that.... but then again, it surprises me how little I payed attention to my body prior to getting pregnant.

as a medic, I can say that having pain on the right side can mean three things, either your spleen has ruptured, (but you would only know if you pressed on your right side and it kept hurting as you pressed) or your body is adjusting and preparing for a baby. Your uterus is held by ligaments, and when your body is preparing for a baby those ligaments tend to ache sometimes. Or it could mean that your just going through your cycle!

vanessa: if you really were a medic, then you would know that the pains from the uterus stretching wouldn't come at the time of conception. nikalg: how old are you and your boyfriend and how long have you guys been together?

NikaLg - October 23

Teddyfinch: well me n my bf have known eachother for 3 years and we been together for 6 months..so its not like he's a random guy..He's one of my best friends.

NikaLg - October 23

Vanessasurias89: well the pain goes away and comes back and today i'm feeling very dizzy and having nausea BIG TIME. i had a hard time sleeping last night because i thought i was going to throw up...i ate today and all that but i'm still feeling very faint.

Lunamoo: I'm sorry, out of respect yes i am, and really thats none of your business. Although for everyone who responds to my question and gives me adviceaccording the question i asked, i thank you all, but all of this of asking my age and if i'm prepared to raise a child is really non of anyones business, come to think of it i wouldnt of had thoughts of even coming to this site to ask a question about pregnancy if i didnt need help. So Lunamoo, Asking is i'm prepared financially, logistically to raise a child has nothing to do with my lower abdominal pains.

Well if you are so prepared to raise a child, prepare yourself with a PRENATAL check up with your doctor. He/she can give you all the correct info about conceiving and whatnot. And you know what my dear, you are posting on the world wide web and there are hundreds of people who read your post so not all the advice you get on here is to your liking. Therefore go to your doctor and get the correct and official advice you want to hear. Or better yet, ask your mom!

ha, will do.

Nikalg, if a teen posts here, "I want to get drunk, what is the best booze to buy." or "I want to try pot" or "I am thinking of having unprotected s_x with my boyfriend of a few months cuz we feel like having a baby" Then yes it is our business to ask you some questions as well. Heck if you don't like what you here on here about your mission to get pregnant, then like lunamoo says, go the professional route and go to your doctor and get the full low down on conception. Or ask you mom. Good luck!

NikaLg, you should be able to answer the questions about your financial and logistical situation with confidence and pride!! If you are --as you make it sound-- a teen who is totally supporting herself and living in a decent place with your bf paying all the bills etc, then just tell people that! I a__sume you are all that otherwise why on earth would you want to bring a child into the picture this early on! My only comment is, why not get married first...? I mean a stable committed relationship is the best foundation for raising a family isn't it...?
