to all the girls who think they may be pregnant just take a test.Lasey if you are pregnant it would have showed up on a test by now. if you are pregnant you should have been already getting prenatal care. please take a test so that you will know and can get prenatal care if you are pregnant

A lot gos in to getting pregnant .Not just having s_x there is a lot of things a woman's body dose . When your pried comes Leta you could have miscarried with out even knowing and depending on how fair along you where is low long you will fill like your pregnant, and yes you can bleed while your pregnant but its not a pried so if you think your have a pried and it is not like you normal pried then yes you can be pregnant . and not all pregnancy teat are right the best way to know is to see a Dr . if you don't what to get pregnant the best thing is not to have s_x . you can get pregnant even if you are us pretension i know from fist hand.

Some people will say that if you get your period then you can't be pregnant... well that wasn't true for me. I had my period until i was 5 months pregnant with my daughter. And if you get your period but still think you're pregnant, wait until AFTER your period is done to take a pregnancy test

Can I explain to you all why you cannot get a period while pregnant please? Now please don't jump down my throat and tell me OH YES YOU CAN. Please just read through what I have to say. Believe me it will sound logical. Let me first say THAT YOU CAN BLEED. AND YOU CAN BLEED AS IF YOU WERE HAVING A PERIOD EACH MONTH, BUT IT IS NOT A PERIOD BECAUSE IT DOES NOT COME FROM YOUR UTERUS. Ok so when you menstruate there is a ton of estrogen in your body causing you to bleed. When you are pregnant the hormone that is dominant is progesterone which causes you to stop bleeding. When pregnancy occurs the baby attaches to the uterus and starts taking nutrition from the blood that is in there and a mucous plug forms at the exit to the v____a. If you bleed it is due to either irritation of the cervix which is now engorged with blood, anything from having s_x to wiping too hard can cause some women to bleed because of the sensitivity and engorgement of the v____al and cervical area. In very rare instances you can bleed from your uterus but this is only considered normal if it is old blood (brown or pink) and very light. If it is heavy it is either a threatened miscarriage or from your sensitive and irritated cervix. If there are clots, that is NEVER a good sign during pregnancy as this is either "just a normal period" and you aren't pregnant or there is a miscarriage taking place and or in some instances such as a hematoma or something can cause this as well. So I just wanted to let you girls know, that YES you CAN bleed during pregnancy but it is not your period. If it is super duper heavy with clots you either are not pregnant or you are miscarrying. Also think about this, imagine that as you mensturate you take your uterus and completely empty it of all the blood. How do you suppose it is possible to sustain a pregnant which REQUIRES that blood to maintain the baby if it is being shed. Now please, just think about what I am saying. I realize that some of you will use the word period lightly and call anything that resembles blood coming from down there a period but it isn't. I just wanted to clear that up. BTW I am not trying to be rude or a know-it-all. I just wanted to enlighten you... remember it is good to learn new things every day. :)

Krissy... when I say I got my period i meant i bled... I know the difference but it IS easier to say you got your period then explaining that you only bled plus I was just answering the question and she said period so I did too...

krissy2006 - July 19

I understand . . . as I said I know the word period is used lightly. But my post was for girl who don't understand that there is a difference between just "bleeding" and a period... :)

krissy2006 - July 19

for girls*

Nerdy_Girl_10242006 - July 19

Actually it is possible to have a period while you are pregnant, it has happened before. I have heard 2-3 girls who had theor period for the first 3-4 months...one the whole pregnancy. Its not likely, but it is possible

krissy2006 - July 19

Nerdy it is not possible unless you have a very rare abnormality of your uterus called a septate uterus. This is where your uterus has a division down the middle and while one side is pregnant the other side still menstruates. This occurs in about 1 of every 800 women, so it isn't common. If you read what I wrote you would understand that it just isn't possible to have a period (shed the lining of your uterus) while pregnant. That would be called a miscarriage.

krissy2006 - July 19

Also, unless they had sonograms specifically showing the bleeding coming from their uterus or their cervix you wouldnt know the difference. In any case any bleeding in pregnancy is not a period. It is called in-pregnancy bleeding, but I won't try and beat you girls over the head with this. Just giving you GOOD information. If you choose not to believe facts that is fine. :) TTYL!
