Yes you can be pregnant and still have a period. However, the bleeding is usually lighter than normal or its spotting instead of your usual period like flow. Some pregnant women have periods throughout their pregnancy while others have no bleeding whatsoever and some bleed for the first three months. If you think you are pregnant - do a pregnancy test. If its negative then your not pregnant.

i took a pregnacy test and one line was darker than the other what does that mean

Betty - Read the test instructions. If the test you did says you will have two lines if its positive then you are pregnant hun. The test was positive. One line is usually darker than the other and in some tests the second line is much much lighter than the control line. So its a faint positive. You will need to see your doctor to have the pregnancy confirmed. :o)

i had a period for 4 months in my pregnancy, jus b/c something is rare, doesnt mean it doesnt happen, nothing bad happened and the doctor said it was normal, but if you do bleed you need to check with your doctor about it

I had my period on Oct.24 and I had s_x on the 29 th I had thought my period had stopped then the next day I sorta started it was light then stopped that night and then started then next day, anyway then I had s_x again (by the way it was unprotected, should have clarified that in the beginning) Nov.13th and 2 days later I got a weird sort of feeling in my lower abdomen on the left side sort of it wasn't paiful but it was uncomfortable, then that week I started with sore b___sts, didn't feel sick but appet_te changed big time & very tired and really moody(crying and angry sad so on & so on), I figured it was my period coming it did but the thing is I am having hot and cold flashes now tired and feeling dizzy, going to the bath room all the time, sick not throwing up but nauseated my stomach also feels weird (abdomen) it feels like I am pregnant it feels hard too, I am on my 4th day of my period but I have been reading up on this thing bout having ur period while being pregnant and it isn't light but its also not normal type of period there are no clots just blood but it isn't light so I don't know I am just confused but it really feels like I am p.g.! yes u can get your period while your pregnant i got my period the first five monthes of my last pregnancy its veryuncommon but it does happen.
