I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and I was wondering when my doctor will start doing "checks" for dialation? I go every 2 weeks and he has yet to check....

Unless you have risk factors he might not start doing checks until 38 wks. Thats how my docs office has worked both times. However, if you get checked for group b strep tomorrow which is common at 36 wks than he might want to check you then since you have to have a v____al culture taken.

Probably depends on your Dr. Mine doesn't check at all, atleast she never did with my first which I carried 40wks exactly.

The checks normally start around 37 wks. My MD will only check if you request to be checked as long as there are no problems and you are having an uncomplicated pg.
