I've heard an awful lot about the benefits of eating acai berries or drinking the juice, both for keeping you healthy and helping with weight loss, but I have not been able to find any information on whether or not it's safe to use while nursing. I'm currently 28 1/2 wks pregnant with #2 and am determined to br___tfeed, but if this is safe to use I'd be interested. My baby comes first, but I would love to be able to lose the weight! Have any of you heard anything about these berries and can you help me out as to what exactly this does to/for you? Thank you all! :)

I don't know what an acai berry is. But at my birthing cla__s last week, there was a raspberry and acai berry juice served. So I would imagine it would be ok when your nursing if we can drink it while pregnant. Isn't acai berry a fruit anyway? I do know that fruits can change the taste of b___stmilk. Maybe the baby won't like it and that will be your answer...??? Either way, it would be best to ask you doctor.

I have an appointment next week, so I'll have to remember to ask. That's what I was thinking too, about it being a berry, but I've seen so much about it being an aid for weight loss that I wasn't sure...? Does it taste good? :) Thanks for replying!

It was in the Tropicana 100% Pure Raspberry Acai. It tasted like a raspberry smootie- it was a really thick, natural juice. I like the orange better, but it was ok. Just make sure whatever juice you do buy is pastuerized.
