i am in the same boat sweetie :o) i want it soooo bad but DH won't touch me!! he is scared......i am 38 weeks as well. as far as i know its ok but could cause you to go into labor. i did hear you should use a condom if you do try it. hope you get luckier than i have lol!!

There is no reason to use a condom or the pull out method unless you are #1 suspicious that your dh has an infection or something you could contract or #2 your water has broke. Also, the only time s_x causes labor is when the man ejaculates and his s____n comes in contact with your cervix/uterus. The s____n contains prostaglandins or the hormone that causes your cervix to dialate and contractions to start. So if you want your labor to begin feel free to have him climax. FYI- The female orgasm will only give you braxton hicks, it will not start your labor.

By all means hunny take full advantage of it! Soon there will be hardly any time for it, lol. My dr told me not to worry about it since I've had no problems throughout this pregnancy so I haven't. I've put my dh on a schedule, lol. Ok I just talk him into it every nite! We've done it every night for the past 2 weeks and my due date was yesterday the 12th. I thought it might make her come on but no luck. It's been fun trying though! lol GOOD LUCK

omg!!! due in april- everynight- you are so lucky!!! My pregnancy has been complicated free as well so maybe i will just go for it. I know its silly but i just have this vision of my dh sperm sitting on top of my sons head- yeah i know silly but....I think I will try to persuade him but we may use a condom b/c i can't get that vision out of my head. Wish me luck.

lol i don't know why but this makes me laugh. probably more so at my situation. since i've been pregnant i've had s_x with my husband twice. TWICE. and that's it. unless you cound teh last time a few months ago because that a pathetic attempt at s_x, not real s_x. it was fine in teh beggining but after they thought i had an incompetent cervix and was on 'pelvic rest' he just couldnt get into it anymore. so the last time it was such a disaster, and honestly my belly is so big and i'm so clumsy that it would be a mess to try now. so we gave up and we're surprisingly ok with it......

We had s_x up until the night before dd was born. I figured once she was here, we wouldn't get to much, first cause I'd be healing, then after cause I'd be tired

LOL, maybe you all will feel better when I tell you that the last time we had s_x was when the little one in my belly was conceived. That means like no s_x since mid October!!! I started to go mad there for a while and now that I'm much bigger I don't even care. My poor poor bf though :( He doesn't even complain anymore, but I do feel bad. The pregnancy has been uncomplicated so far but was a bit touch and go the first trimester as I've had multiple early losses in the past. I just have been too scared to try ever since I moved out of the first tri. If I spotted even a bit I'd lose it and have to go to the hospital. He agreed that would kind of ruin the whole s_x thing anyways, lol so we are patiently waiting ;)

Stefkay you are not alone. DH and I have not DTD since before we got the BFP in September! I think we came close once but I got scared. I just have this idea that I am going to start bleeding and then freak out. I think DH is nervous too. That's not to say we don't do other things to satisfy each other. ;-) We may try soon though since we are almost to my EDD and I don't know when we'll have the next opportunity.

d__n i'm only 19 weeks and my dude wont have s_x with me either...i had some like pink spotting last week so now he's all paranoid. but before the insident we were haivnig s_x like twice a day everyday!!! but hes so huge that it's like i cant even enjoy the s_x the way i want to because he can't even put it in all the way!! so i'm going to have to sufferrrrrr!!! LOLOL unlesss i sweet talk him into it. but i guess it's good that our guys are caring enough to be more concerned about the baby!

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise...go for it! There will be a few weeks of healing before you'll even want to THINK of any action down there, and the baby will probably have terrible timing when you're in the mood. I swear they know when you're about to be "alone" and all of a sudden they need something NOW! :) The bacteria issue is only present after your water has broken. I was told to "do it like newlyweds" by my midwife when I was about 39 weeks and it didn't seem to help me out much, but we sure had fun anyways! Enjoy this time you still have when it's just you and your dh. Light some candles and have fun! Good luck and congrats on the pending birth of your lo!

I would. It can help you go into labor. It will be awhile until you can again.
