Jessica, I am due September 6th, and have the same symptoms, minus the blood. The pain in the pelvic area is due to the pelvis widening to allow for the upcoming birth--a really amazing thing for your body to know how to do. You are peeing a lot because the baby's head is hitting your bladder. Your ribs hurt because the other half of baby is pushing up into your chest. You are probably leaking colostrum from your b___st, which happens. All this is normal, and it is great that your daughter is in position! Regarding your contractions and the blood: Are they painful contractions? If not too painful, they are probably Braxton Hicks. If they are painful, see if they are regular by timing them. Also see if they subside by drinking water and lying down for a while. I have gotten a few real contractions, and that seems to help. Was the blood there along with mucus? If so, this could be your mucus plug, which falls out before labor. It is kind of early for you, but it does not mean the baby will arrive soon; it is just one of those things that happens before birth. I would talk to your OB about your hospital visit. Perhaps he/she has more answers. Those symptoms should be watched. Also, make sure you do your kick counts to know that your daughter is having fun in there!
