Newborn Clothing Vs 0 3 Months

my son is 9 days old and is wearing newborn and 0-3 mths. They both fit equally well but the 0-3 mths have room to grow, mean while the newborns willnot last much longer for him. He was 7lbs 11oz and 19 inches long at birth. Oh and he was 2 weeks early. i didnt buy any newborn but had them given to me. I presonally if i was you would buy more 0-3 mths.

With my 2nd and 3rd babies I brought a 0-3 and a 3-6 just in case because my oldest was 9 lbs, 5 oz. and 21"... He only fit into 0-3 months for a few weeks. My daughter (2nd baby) ended up being smaller at 8 lbs. 3 oz. 20 1/2" and stayed in 0-3 for about 2 months, but then my 3rd baby was 10 lbs. 6 oz. and 22 3/4" and he was in 3-6 months right away (he was too long for 0-3 + he never drew his legs up like most newborns... he was always stretched out LOL).

I'm due June 23rd. I think since I already have a few newborn outfits, I'm going buy a tiny bit more of 0-3 months and then a few 3-6 months and just see what happens. I'll just buy as I need because why buy a bunch of all the sizes when you just don't know how long they're going to be in them. I'm trying to save money!!! haha

I’m glad I read this thread because I wasn’t planning on buying any NB sizes, everything I have purchased so far is 0-3 and 3-6 months. I think I’ll run over to the mall at my lunch break and buy a couple NB sizes just in case.

Yes, very important, keep all receipts.. I have everything in bags still, with receipts taped to the hangers of the items they belong to, so I don't misplace them!

my baby didnt fit in the newborn clothing (7lb 12 oz) and think, what does it matter if it fits, it wont within a week or two anyway! I would wait and see how big they are and have loving grandparents go buy size approperiate. until then, id play safe with 0-3 or 3-6

It's a common problem. My daughter is two weeks old and I'm using newborn just because a couple of friends of mine gave me a lot of newborn girls clothing as a gift, but I think that this stuff won't last for so long.
