Why not call L&D and see what the nurse recommends. You could also call your OB and ask what he thinks. I am 35 weeks and soon to be right where you are. This is our second child as well, and I was induced with her. I never felt the contractions, other than the pressure in my b___t once I got in to transition. I have no idea what to expect this time around. Let me know what happens. :o}

Hi! This is my second pregnancy and I've been getting menstrual like cramping with contractions since 33 weeks. I thought I was in labor first, because the usual braxton hicks I've been having didn't hurt that much, but after having that feeling for a while it just went away...Ever since then I've been having crampy/painful Braxton Hicks mixed with the ones that don't hurt, and every time I think I'm going into labor (this is how my labor started the first time around, and all the braxton hicks prior to that were painless). So I'm just a__suming that this is because this is my second pregnancy.

hi ladies...hang in there soon! sasha...i woke with that crampy feeling the night before last (well actually around 4am) and i have also been having braxton hicks for quite a while now(i am 30 weeks). anyway, i just so happened to be going in for a U/S yesterday so i told them what was up. my cramping would come and go, but not regularly. they gave me a urine test to make sure it wasnt an infection. that was neg so they told me to drink 3 liters of water (for the whole day) and stay off my feet. it seemed to help. of course i was to go to the hospital if the pain got regular or there was bleeding, etc. perhaps you need to up your water intake (think fish) and rest. good luck!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. Its your body's way of prepping for the real thing. If they start becoming regular that you could time them, or if they don't go away after drinking a gla__s of water and laying down for a bit then it may be a good thing to call the L&D ward. They should be able to determine over the phone whether you are in early labour or not. Good luck!
