We finally made it to the third trimester!

Yea!!! Im so glad we made it. I think I am 28 1/2 weeks. My stomach is so huge. I lie at work whenever people ask me when Im due and say November (hey Im due at the very begining of December- it could happen!) because when I say Dec they seem to think Im so huge I must be due way before that. The movements have gotten so strong they are uncomfortable and sometimes painful! It still makes me feel good to feel the little babe kicking around in their. I have a cold right now- totally sucks b/c I cant take any medicine!!! Oh well, at least its only a cold, hopefully it will be gone in a few days.

Colleen, everyone else how are you feeling?

Hi there, I am officially 27 weeks tomorrow. I am feeling a bit more tired, and I got the call yesterday that the gestational diabetes has kicked in. It isn't bad, but I will be meeting with a nutritionist tomorrow. Blah! I was hoping to avoid all of that. The doc seems to think that the little guy will be coming around the last week of November, which is fine with me. I guess in the midst of family situations and all of this, I wish I wasn't working. Hope all of you are well!

I've been so tired lately too. I am 27 weeks 5 days pregnant. I am due Dec 12th but I feel like i'm so tiny. I just started wearing maternity jeans and can still get away with normal shirts.

Hey Jess, I saw some really good come-backs for people who comment on size/weight: "I'm going to lose like 20 lbs in one day, what about you?" and "Yea well, I'm growing a life, what have you done today?" I thought those were great. I usually say "Yea, I know I have to cut back on the beer". I was told for colds that it's safe to take Tylenol cold, I know it's better not to take anything, but if you're really miserable, at least there's something. Hope you feel better soon. I'm feeling ok for the most part, nervous about the level 2 ultrasound tomorrow. Hi Gina- did you have the diabetes in a prior pregnancy? I think the diet that you have to stick to in that situation is just the pits. I will also most likely deliver in late November as my due date it 12/7 w/ a scheduled c-section. Bilmes- you're so lucky! This must be your first baby if your so tiny.

Bilmes123 - September 17

Yup my first. i wasn't tiny before the pregnancy. just just gained a little in the belly. i was a size ten. also my b___t grew a bit Lmao!

Hi everyone. I am new here but due December 12. I am glad to see that most of you are going through the same issues that I am. This is my third pregnancy and it seems like it has been more difficult than the first two. I also have been telling people that the baby is due at the end of November because I am so big. So I am glad to see this is a common thing. The other thing that I do, is eat when my husband is not around, and then when we go to dinner I am already full so I don't eat much in front of him. He thinks that I am doing really good and eating healthy. Little does he know that I just consumed a cheesecake before he walked in the door. Anyone else having problems with indigestion? I have started taking prilosec otc. to try to conquer the fire. Hope everyone has a speedy last two months!!

jessb - September 18

Baliezer-LOL!! That is so funny. I should do that. I just eat like a fat pig in front of my husband. I cant wait to have this baby and start losing some weight. I have had pretty bad heartburn too. I take pepcid AC it works pretty well.

Here are some more helpful hints. If you have a husband like mine, who is less than helpful once the baby arrives. Here are some things that I have learned. My husband would consistantly get into the car and start it, leaving me standing at the trunk with the baby and stroller. The best thing to do, is to go into slow motion, making all of your movements very slow......make sure you read all the warnings and print on the stroller as you slowly fold it away.Look at things in the trunk and start organizing them alphabetically. As you attempt to put the baby in the car (very slowly) act like you are having problems getting the seat belt fastened, making sure to stop several times and take deep breaths. The longer you can draw out this process without it being obvious the better. After a couple of times of me doing this, my husband took over. The other thing that my husband would do is walk through doors in front of me without holding it open for me or the stroller.(Most of the time he was on the phone) In this case the best thing to do is act lost. If there are other people around, look for a cute hunky guy to open the door for you. Make sure to flirt back and forth as Mr. hunky opens the door for you. If there is no one around, go to plan B. Spend five minutes swiveling the stroller around as you try to manipulate it through the door. If your husband is on the phone make loud grunting sounds to draw attention to the situation. I promise you a couple of times of doing this, will have your husband bending over backwords to help you.

LOL! You crack me up! Actually its the other way around in my household. My husband is soooo slow at doing things that I usually take over b/c its just so much quicker for me to do it. Hmmm, I wonder if he does it on purpose to get out of doing things :o) My husband and my 2yr old are both big slowpokes and it drives me crazy!!

Hi girls! Ebaby- did you pick a name yet? What is your due date? Baliezer- hahaha! I chow-down right in front of dh, he is amazed at how much I can put away. He actually said my belly was a little shelf for me to rest my food on. I just said "moooo". I've gained 18 lbs so far which was all I gained for my entire pregnancy last time. Jess- your dh sounds like mine, between him and my lo, I don't know who is the bigger dawdler. I keep telling them to get out of my way or I'll run 'em down. Sooo, I went for my ultrasound yesterday and baby looks good, but the spot on his liver is still there, so another scan at 36 weeks. The ultrasound tech was asking about the size of my lo at birth and I told her 4lbs 4 oz and she said in her heavy accent "This is not small baby" lol, so I guess that's good, he's about 3lbs already (seems small to me!) I have to go for the Glucose test first thing tomorrow :( wish me luck! Colleen

jessb - September 19

Colleen- Your babe sounds big this time :o) Thats probably why you have gained more so you dont have to feel bad. I have no excuse, Im just a big fat a__s. What are they going to do about the spot on the liver, just keep rechecking? I hope everything is alright. Im going for my glucose test on Monday morning.

ebaby08 - September 19

He's due dec. 19! The name we picked is Aidan, not sure on a middle name yet! I never knew name picking would be so hard!

micsmms3 - September 19

Baliezer, you make me laugh! And what good advise for us 1st timers! I am so going to remember it! Cind, hope your test went good! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. They get my results on monday, I had the 3 hour sugar test today. I don't know how well I did following the extra serving of this/that with each meal for the three days prior. Hope it turns out OK. Who knows. My hands were shaking when I walked out of there, i felt so weak. Needless to say I went right to lunch and ate a ton! I'm 28 weeks today. My belly is huge. The rest of me is just a little bigger than before, but I can tell I've gained a bit all over. My bikini waxer told me that i've gotten a varicose vein where my thigh hits my belly (I can't see there of course...), and my sister says it's because I keep crossing my legs- a habit that is hard to break. What do you girls think?

Gina75 - September 20

Morning ladies...well the verdict is in and I am perplexed. This is my first child, so the diabetes thing is nothing that I was really aware of. I have a "mild case." They said that the test showed 204. I have been doing the blood sugar test 4 times a day and according to the numbers I am in the range I should be. Maybe it is a fluke. My doc will see me next Friday so hopefully she will enlighten me then. As far as eating habits, I have changed ever so slightly. I am ready for this little one to come.... As far as the big baby thing, I was told that as well. I wonder why that is these days? Too much junk in foods??
