My DH is from Ohio. I love it up there. Hear you got quite a cold snap this week! We live in Florida. We were wearing t-shirts yesterday but that cold front is making its way down south and it's sweater time today! Good thing, too, I love bundling up! Plus I bought a few new winter maternity outfits that I haven't been able to wear with the warm weather (and my never-ending hot flashes) but now I can!

OMG Angel, that reminds me. Last night I was trying really hard to feel my own cervix to see if I noticed a difference. Not cause I thought I'd be able to tell if I was dialating, I mean I have no clue what that will look or feel like but I was just curious how it felt compared to prepregnancy and early pregnancy cervix and normally if I get in just the right position and really work my fingers up there I have no trouble feeling but I swear last night I couldn't feel a dang thing. Where the heck did my cervix go? And how in the c___p can my lil short fingered Dr feel it? Sorry if TMI... but seriously, has anyone else tried to feel? lol So I'm 36w2d today and I'm still not really getting any signs that he's coming anytime soon. I know pregnancy and labor is weird and you can be fine one minute and rushing to the emergency room the next but everyone else seems to be having labor symptoms or something. I get like one BH a week or something and that's it. Other than that I'm just so tired I can't hardly stand it. I was crying this morning cause it was just taking all the energy I had to get out of bed and go to work today. I just wish I could stop working already but I already told my boss I would be here through the end of the month as long as I don't have the baby before then.

Yes, it is very cold here! Supposed too feel like -24 before its over with. We're also under a heavy snow advisory. We have about 6 inches right now. Hope it isnt like this when i go into labor, the hospital is 45 minutes away when roads are fine. Flybear- its really hard for us preggos to feel our own cervix. I cant get around my belly to even begin to feel. Maybe you just have a high cervix. Im having lower back pains today and my discharge has a pink tint to it. Besides that ive had no labor signs. I get strong braxton hicks after being active for a while, but thats not a labor sign so not much as of now.

kmoselle - January 14

40 more minutes of work until I can go home!!! I am so tired. And I have been having a ton of braxton hicks today. It is so wierd because sometimes I get the tightening that starts at the top and moves down and sometimes I get the menstral cramps. Has anyone experienced any headaches lately? I rarely get them, but I got one yesterday afternoon and it finally just subsided- after about 26 hours. I took tylenol every 6 hours, drank lots of water, but neither helped. I'm not sure if it could be pregnancy related or if I ate some bad food yesterday- I had indian food for the first time ever! Maybe an allergic reaction? I don't know. Just relieved to be pain free finally (at least when it comes to my head!)

Well hello ladies. Just droping in to let everyone know that I officially became a January mommy. Allison Rose was born on January 13 at 530 am weighing 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. She was supposedly 36 weeks and 2 days but the doctor said it looked like she was closer to 38 weeks. It was a SUPER fast labor and delivery. My husband came home at 1145 and at about 1 am I told him we needed to go to the hospital. The contractions were very strong and every 2 minutes. My water broke at 430 and she came at 530 with only 2 pushes! She was so easy and she's so sweet! We got to come home today after about only 32 hours in the hospital. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

kmoselle - January 15

Wow! How exciting! I am so happy for you. I hope my labor and delivery goes as smooth as yours sounds! Did you do it natural? Doesn't sound like you had much time to get an epidural or anything. Congratulations!

angelmonkey - January 15

wow congrats!! hope all is well and your enjoyingt your little one!! im so jelouse lol i wish my little one was here!! when was yout due date?? flybear i cant check my cervix my belly is so in the way lol! i,ve been so uncomfortable!! i really thought my waters were going to break last night! i had such horrible pressure down there that kept coming and going............it felt like someone was b__wing up a balloon in side my v____a that was about to pop and then it would come!! i was pretty much in tears how is everyone doing? only 30 days until my due date :)

kmoselle - January 15

I seem to be always hungry lately! I guess because I can't eat a lot, I seem to eat a little but quite often. Has anyone dropped yet? I can't wait- I still can't breathe. I feel like his head is engaged- there is a ton of pressure down there, but his b___t and feet are still up in my lungs! I have been ready What to Expect again. Everyday I get more and more nervous. I think, "I'm going to be a mom! There is a baby inside me! And in a few weeks he will be outside of me! And I'll be responsible for his every need! OMG!!!" It still dumbfounds me that I'm pregnant! I am so happy and excited and anxious and just in absolute awe! And I still smile with every movement he makes- even when his little foot goes through a lung or he grabs and yanks on my ovary (LOL- seriously feels like he does!).

kmoselle - January 15

OOPS- that should be I have been reading What to Expect again, not ready.

angelmonkey - January 15

kmoselle i feel exactly the same lol! i still cant beleive im pregnant lol........its gone so fast for me! im not sure if she has dropped soemtimes i can breath and other times it feels like my uterus is only a tiny way above my belly b___ton

breezieb - January 15

CONGRATS J CROSS!!! I am so happy for you! wow girls it has NOT gone fast for me!! lol It feels like an eternity!! But thats ok!! ALL the discomfort and waiting is so well worth it!!! I am just so ready to meet him!! I have had bad pelvic pain for a while now but it is getting really bad!! My tail bone is hurting now to. When I get up to pee at night I want to cry cause I can barley walk!! In the morning it takes a while to move around enough for the pain to let up, but in the day it feels much better! maybe I am sleeping wrong!! I put the pillows in between my legs but it doesn't help. How are you ladies propping your self up to sleep? Are you going thru this? ANY POINTERS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! kmoselle - Has your head/sinus cold cleared up? I know that is miserable!! Flybear - Wow!! 7lbs already...and I am complaining about the pain i'm in from my lil 5 pounder... you got to be uncomfortable!! The pediatrician you have in mind...were they referred to you by someone? I have a great pediatricin that I have been using for 5 years now! They are affilates of childerns Hospital. They listened when no one else would when I said something is wrong with my daughter, and thank god they did cause she had a infection in her bone that is so rare you only read it in text books they said but never come across it. She had three surgeries right before her 1 year old birthday. if it was not discovered my daughter would have lost her arm!! She is perfectly fine now!! I know you stay in Belle Chase and they are located in River Ridge (about 30 min from you) If you are interested I can give you the info. newbaby - Do you have a plan for just incase you go into labor while on your trip? You brave girl!! lol Angel - Just wanted to include you, I know you are lil emotional. so just wanted to show you some love! lol EVERYONE - Is any one gonna try castro oil or any of those things to try to get labor to come on quicker? Do you know of what other SAFE tricks there are? I know walking, s_x, nipple stimulaton, ma__saging ankles. What else????

angelmonkey - January 16

thanks for the love breezieb lol! I am trying evening primrose oil you can take orally and insert but i think im just going to try oraly......doesn't castro oil give you bad diahreea lol. i know pineapple is supposed to bring on labour too......didnt know about the ankle thing though might have to try that lol.. how is everyone?

kmoselle - January 16

OMG- I get up to pee every hour or 2 and I can barely walk to the bathroom- I feel like my pelvis is broken! My tailbone doesn't hurt. Usually, by the time I get out of the shower all the pelvic pain is gone. I have a Boppy body pillow that I sleep with. It definately helps me get comfortable. The few times I have slept without it, I still get the pelvis pain. I think we are just meant to suffer these last few weeks!!! Yes- I still have the sinus/head cold. Doctor says it will go away with delivery. Again- we are just meant to suffer I guess! I am definately going to try some home remedies to bring on labor- eat lots of fresh pineapple, I'm going to get a weekly pedicure and ask them to concentrate on ma__saging the ankles, lots of walking and hopefully s_x. DH and I have been way too tired and busy lately to get it on :-( I don't want to do the castor oil thing- I'm afraid of the diarreah and vomiting that can come with it. My mom said whenever she walked down stairs she would jump off the last stair, hoping to get babies head to rupture her waters. That never did work though. I thought about the nipple stimulation, but I want to b___stfeed and I don't want to lose and colostrum. Doc says I can freeze it, but I want baby to have it fresh from me (plus I don't even know how to thaw out the b___stmilk yet!!!). Good Lord I have a lot to learn! So I am finally having my baby shower this weekend!!! I am so excited. Family I haven't seen in years has flown in. And I am really excited to finally go baby shopping. There is a huge Babies-R-Us store near my mom's and I have been saving all these coupons and gift cards and putting away money just for this shopping excursion! Should be fun! Anyone else stocking up on diapers already?

angelmonkey - January 16

good luck with your baby shower kmossell..i so have to pee every 2 hours lol and half the time i think i need to pee real bad and when i go to the loo a tiny amount dribbles out! i bought some nappys (diapers) today i have 2 packs of size 3,s which is like 20lbs + lol so i got some newborn 1,s which are 4-11lbs so hopefully she,l fit in them. ouch newbaby that sounds nasty! its just sods law that all us girls want to go in to labour early and you dont that you will be the first and we,ll all go overdue lol! lets hope that doesn't happen

snappy - January 16

Hi Ladies, I am 35 weeks and 1 day and I have noticed that my baby is not as active as it was before. I am worried of course because I don't know what he is doing... I used to feel him a lot. I am hoping is just that he is running out of room. I am also super tired from getting up multiple times with my daughter - she has been sick since last Friday she ended up having bronchitis so we had to give her antibiotics. I still have a head cold and it is my second week. My right hip is also still killing me. I want my baby to stay put so he can grow and get strong, but sometimes I just want all of this to be over with. I have also been craving peanuts and I finally gave in this week and bought some. I had a little every day.. I hope it wont cause him to have allergies later on. Newbaby, I am amazed that with all the pain your are having you are willing to travel in a big rig never the less for 14 hrs.. I could not do it - you are a very strong and determined lady. Good luck. thanks for reading ladies.

newbaby2009 - January 16

Snappy- thanks haha. Yea racing is a huge part of our lives, im in it no matter what! The farther along you get the less you will feel the baby. Hes running out of room! About the peanut thing, they are now saying its important to introduce your child to peanuts at a young age to prevent allergies. Ive always heard the opposite. I have a 19 month old and ive avoided peanuts like the plague, lol.
