Yeah...my hubbie's been hoping for a leap year baby this whole pregnancy. Especially when we found out the due date was Feb. 25! I've been very adamant that I'll keep baby in if he/she wants to come out that day, but now I'm to the point where I don't care! I just want this baby out! lol. I've always seen it as a negative thing, having a baby on the 29th. But I guess it could be special... :)

I am 3cm and 100% effaced, and expecting my lo at any time. To be honest I really do not want him to be a leap day baby. I think adults might get a kick out of having a birthday every 4 years, but it would stink as a kid to get to have a birthday (techinically speaking of course) only every 4th year. Not that I have any control over it whatsoever, but I am doing all I can to NOT go into labor then. I've got an induction date set for Tuesday, March 4th, but my personal choice would Saturday, the 1st. It's just a lot more convenient for lots of people in my life. lol

my friend had her baby last leap year she all happy because she said she gets to have a do over with his first birthday She said she is buying everything with 1 on it. My high school boyfriends brother was also born on a leap year it was fun going to his party because he turn 6 (26) and once again we had like a 6 year old b-day party for him. So just know that if you do have a leap year baby you'll probably do the same thing though the child may or may not think its funny.

I personally have my positives and negatives about having a leap year baby. I think it would be awesome but at the same time they only have a given birthday every 4 years. Of course if it happens it would be special and you would of course still have a b-day for the lo. I think everyone feels different and I hear all different opinions about a leap year baby. Just think you could also make the b-day a bash because its such a unique day to have a baby! Pros and Cons is all I gotta say :-)~
