Castor Oil Does work, Inorder for it to work you must take like 5 times a normal amount. It works by cleaning everything in you intestines out. This gives the baby more room to move and the movement starts your labor. I did this with my last pregnancy when my daughter was two days past edd. she was born 11 hours later.

I don't understand why would some people here want to induce labour at 37-39 weeks or even at 35 weeks? I agree with Jess, when the baby is ready, he/she will come out, why would we wanna do something on purpose to have them earlier? Unless we are past due (above 40 weeks or so) then only we induce. Just my personal view, no offense to anyone here.

i'm 37 weeks and have had contractions but they tend to stop after a couple hours. i've tried blue and black cohosh and they didn't work at all. i tried castor oil yesterday and i had quite a few strong contractions that felt like a bad period but they eventually went away. nothing is working for me so when he comes he comes. i give up.

i think your cousin just lucked up sweeheart. You should never even think of having alcohol while your pregnant. My advice to you is just let natur take its course and everything will turn out fine.

hello, my name is Laura, and iam also going to be 37 weeks on frieday. im due the 21st. i have just learned on monday that iam 60% effacted and 1cm dialated. I too am so sick of being pregnant, and am ready to have the baby. my doctor said that when iam 38 weeks he will sc___pe my membranes. which i had done with my 1st son, and i went into labor two days later. hopefully it works this time. have you thought about doing that? it doesnt hurt, its almost exactly the same as having them check your cervix. its a little uncomfortable but i think that it was worth it. i had my son 8 days before his due date. and by all means i dont think that that was too eairly. I would like it if we could talk.... maybe give some advice to eachother :) is this your first baby? im also in the same boat as you,.... my ankles are always swollen, i feel like a fat a__s..... i have gained 43 pounds all ready.. was 125 and am now 168. i cant even paint my own toe nails. they look like hell. one of my girlfriends is suppost to come over on her day off and paint them for me. well we'll see if that happens. are you dialated at all? i live in arizona and it is freakin hot here.! like 107 today.. my last pregnancy was in the summer too. i dont work so i stay inside, but its still misserable to get out and do anything. how old are you? well anyways thanx for listening.... hopefully we can talk

do i have 2 say!!! - September 28

Well I'm always reading all of the comments on here but I never actually took the time to make one of my own... who would of ever thought that this process took so long... Im 38 weeks as of today and I felt like I wasnt going to be able to take it anymore since I was 35 weeks I cant say that this pregnancy has had a lot of problems I just think that I'm really anxious to meet my little boy, to hold him to love him, and to see what he looks like... I've tried so many things to try to induce my self from castor oil to blue and black Cohosh and none of it works or altleast it didnt for me... well today (the 28th) I find out when my doctor is going to induce my labor, I just told him that I couldnt take it anymore so we will see what happends today... I cant wait to find out hopefully he will induce me exactly a week earlie.... Good Luck Ladies!!!

It's ok to have a gla__s or two of wine it helps the body to relax. And when I had my first my doc. also said it would help my milk let down. He was right it worked. You just can't go overboard with it.

Dani - September 28

I'm only at 32 weeks, but my baby already weighs close to 5 lbs, what's up with that?!?!? I asked my doc if he could do a c-section at 37 weeks and he said sure, but I found out that my insurance doesn't cover planned c-sections (I have really c___ppy insurance and my husband and I both even work here at the hospital, I'm a nurse and he's a maintenance tech). What should I do!!!!!!?????
