Hi everyone. I hope it is okay for me to join you guys. I read a lot about all of you and just wanted to say I don't feel so alone anymore., so thanks a million. I am 20 y/o and pregnant with my first child, Robert Jr. due on Jan. 28th according to the Dr, I think I will go sooner, but I have no idea really. I have had a pretty normal pregnancy other than how big he is and that I haven't gained all that much weight according to the dr. I had an u/s at 33 weeks to see if my due date was off and it showed that he is already 5lbs. 5 oz...I will be 36 weeks this coming wednesday and don't really know what to expect from here on out. I have an appt on Tuesday but I'm not sure what they will be doing. I am having tons of pressure and all over, exhausting body pain at this point, and just don't know what else to do other than sit back and try to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. Any ideas or helpful relaxation tips?

Welcome mama2be12809. Feel free to just jump in. I'm amanda and a mother to three. I just had my son Andrew on the 18th of this month. I was supposed to have him on the 5th but I got an early christmas present I guess. How is everyone else?

Wow, we are all getting close (and congrats to the new mommies!). I had my doc appt last week and we scheduled a c section for Jan 9th. Kellen turned breech ( he had been head down up until last week) and the doc's measurements of him being in the 95th percentile (he weighed 6 lbs 12 oz 2 weeks ago) sealed the c section deal. I just can't beleive he will be here next Friday! I washed up all his clothes and sorted them by sizes yesterday, I feel so emotional about it...I just can't wait to meet this new little person! I have had acid reflux like crazy and many more nightly trips to the bathroom..sleeping is just not happening. It is going to be all worth it in just less than 2 weeks. How is everyone else doing?

hey mamma2be congrats on your baby i'm your age and on my second baby. I'd say just try to not stress about nething, as much as you can and just chill and relax these last few weeks. enjoy it cuz when its over your gonna wish that you were still pregnant. at least that's how i was with my first cuz then he was out and everyone else could hold him and i wanted him back to myself. i'm glad you joined us, it has really helped me this pregnancy to have others to talk to about whats been up with me and whatnot. my next dr. appt is on the 5th, i am 38 weeks this thursday and i am gettin really exited!!! my baby is gonna be born a week from this thursday!! i am so pumped, my husband is all excited and we are gettin final stuff now he's always rubbin my belly and whatnot, its great! i have been having dreams about the baby however, that there is something wrong or whatnot, i know that it is normal to be having dreams about the baby, but i have smoked this whole pregnancy and occasionally had a few drinks, nothing severe, not even a whole beer most of the time but i am still worried. everything looked fine in my last u/s but im just a worry wart anyway. congrats to all the new mommies and i hope that everyone had a good holiday week. I did!!! i have started having issues with sleeping at night really really badly i have been contracting, last night i woke up with contractions, but i ended up rollin over and they stopped. i want to have the baby, but at the same time i dont. last night i told my hubby that and he got all worried thinkin that i dont want to have the baby at all, but after i explained that i just want to have the baby all to myself for a little longer he calmed down, but i need to get my cleaning done for the day, so i'll talk to you ladies later!

Hey girls! I just wanted to give you all an update on me. Little Brady was born on Dec. 27th at 37 weeks, 1 day. He was 6lbs, 10oz, and he's 19.5 inches long. He was supposed to be born on Jan. 16th, but he obviously wanted to come a little early :) He's amazing! He sleeps a lot and is a natural at b___stfeeding. Oh, and ausynsmommy, I hear you on the sore b___sts. But, I already love my little guy so much! I'll post my labor story on a nother thread... Well, take care girls! And, I can't wait to hear about everyone else's little ones.

Congrats Kimmer23. My first son was the same size as your little Brady. I really like his name. Hope your feeling good. I wish Andrew would have taken to b___stfeeding. I tried for a week and he just would not take to it.

Congrats Kimmer on little Brady and Austynsmommy on little Andrew. My little Kellen is going to be here sooner than next Friday. Had u/s today and the fluid was lower than what the doc would like and my blood pressure was high, so we did an amnio and I am now waiting for the results...doc says we shouldn't wait another week. I am SO excited and nervous, I haven't been able to concentrate all day waiting for the phone call. My little man was supposed to be here Jan 16th...looks like he may be a New Years baby. He was weighing in today at 7 lbs 12 oz...so he sure is big enough to come out. I will keep you all posted.

OMG, It's so exciting to see you January mommies giving birth because we February mommies are right behind you and I'm due at the beginning of February. I can't wait. I hope I can hold off till 39 weeks so I can get everything done I want to get done and work as long as I was planning too but I'm seriously getting so excited. I can't think about anything else. Congrats on your new lil ones!

Congrats!!! Wow another early Jan baby! Maybe I'll be early too(I'm due Jan 13). I had my prenatal app today and my doctor is very pleased with everything. The only thing we can't figure out is why I am not gaining weight now(over the past couple of weeks I've lost a pound or two actually). The baby is still growing perfectly and she is gaining(I a__sume since my uterus is measuring bang on where it should be each visit). It just appears that I am not gainging weight. My doctor isn't worried because the baby is growing and she has a good heartbeat, head is low etc. Just wondered if anyone else stopped gainging weight at the end, or even lost a bit???

Hey bbdreams,ive been having the same problem with weight gain,baby (uteris)is measuring bang on but I havnt gained weight in months,ive been 135lbs since 6 and a half months pregnant,They are saying that baby is gaining and im loosing,im hoping there right,this is my 4th baby and I never had this problem before!!Im due January 27th,hope all is well with you ladys,congrats on the women who have already delivered,and to those still waiting im here to lol!!Have a great day ladys.

austynsmommy - I'll come join you in the infant section. bbdreams - I lost 2 lbs at my 36 week appt (I never had one after that). But, my doc said it's normal to go up and down at the end. Good lukc to everyone! And, cyndi - I'll be waiting to hear about when your little one is goin to arrive. Congrats to all!

well ladies its weird for me to say, but i will be havin my baby next thursday. 8 days left to go. its only weird for me becuase i have my weekly list of things to do right, monday i have my last dr. appt and i am going to ask to move my c section to wednesday in steAD OF thursday cuz of family stuff goin on in the weekend that id like to go to, but idk if i wil be able to or not, i'll keep you posted on that. but what i was saying was monday is my dr appt. tues i have a wic appointment, (tues is also my mom's bday and my sister in laws bday) wednesday i have to get the house finished and thursday i am having the baby friday i want to be up and running around saturday i want to be dismissed cuz my moms surprise bday party is that evening and i would really like to go to it. and sunday i will just relax. hopefully the doc will let me have the baby on wednesday but i dont know if she will or not. shes kinda stingy that way. i'll let you ladies know whats goin on! happy new year everyone!

Kimmer congrats!!! I'm glad he's b___stfeeding really well, I know it can be hard in the beginning but sooo worth it.
Well as for me I'm still pregnant, 39wks today, & still waking up to irregular contractions that are painful, but they never last long & stop after a couple of hours. I'm SO tired I wish my body would stop mucking around & have this baby already. It must be too comfy in there, maybe I should start shaking things up a bit so he/she wants to come out lol.
I had a midwife app yesterday & she said that bubs had engaged & confirmed that I did lose my mucus plug during the week as I thought (sorry if I forgot to post that bit of info) so lets hope it happens soon. The hospital/midwives are so lenient this time, they are letting my 3.5yr dd be at the birth & even letting hubby deliver the baby (as long as there are no complications).
Anyway happy new years to everyone & I will look forward to hearing the new birth stories, & hopefully I can add mine soon too :)
