Ok girls - sorry it has taken me so long to check in...my appt went very well - I am 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced yeah! I am making some progress on my own and my mom is on a plane Friday double Woo Hoo....I started contracting to - I got about 8 good ones in an hour but no real pattern so to speak I have been contracting all afternoon so I am trying to take it easy so that I can hold out until my mom and dad get here ....LOL I realize that nature will have it's way but I am trying to rest. JULIA that is awesome about your sis in law.....KENDRA - good grief you can't seem to catch a break! I think we are all ticking time bombs now....After my parents get here me and Cor will do it like every night to get the show on the road.....LOL ....STEF - yes after the last time you went for a walk and the nurse had to drive you home you better just stick to strolling on the treadmill....LOL...ok girls I am off to eat dinner I made another pizza and it's so yummy!!! I can't wait! hugs to you all and I know that one by one we will begin to pop!!

KOLLEEN - I have believe that you can go into labor before you lose your plug - I didn't lose my plug until I was already in labor at the hospital but I have been checking after I pee incase I don't feel it come out.....

TINA- im so happy that ur dialated finally. its exciting to hear it huh? it makes it so real that this is actually happening!!!! i go in friday and im hoping that i have gone from 1 to 2 atleast but i will see.

TINA, yayyyyy! that is VERY good news :) Ok, now I must ask you all...how do you know when you are having a contraction? I have BH all the time (several an hour). Are you counting contractions as those that are painful? I don't have any pain, just discomfort. Mark my words now, that when I go to the dr. Friday I will not even be 1cm dilated. I can bet that I'll still be "soft" and that's it. I just keep feeling like this isn't going to happen on it's own before 39 or 40 weeks.

Oh! and another question....so we haven't had s_x since like October and nowI'm thinking we could try it SLOWLY here at the end to help things along, but I'm worried that (NOW PLEASE DON'T LAUGH HERE) because we haven't had it in so long that I might get a reaction or an infection in the hoo-ha because the environment isn't used to it? I know that sounds dumb, but I am so scared of something going wrong at the end.

cors1wfe - June 10

STEF- mine were enough to make me squirmy and they did hurt in fact I am still sore.....even though contractions have stopped....bummer but I am happy to wait until at least my mom and dad get here...LOL ......STEF - the likelihood of you getting an infection is well not likely LOL - it's not like he's foreign to your uh..hoo haa...he's just been absent a while and the poor guy would probably not last long enough to give you and infection anyway...LOLOL jk.....seriously though worst case scenario is a yeast infection which is totally treatable even this late in the game so I say for got it - and I expected to not be dilated and I was so be positive!

i was wondering the same thing earlier today. my friend told me that at this point i count bh and painful ones. to me they feel like cramps really bad. sharp ones and my tummy gets really tight. it almost takes my breathe away and at time makes me light headed. i get them but i have not been counting them. i need to cuz like today i was having quite a few when it dawned on me.

stefkay - June 11

Then you girls are well on your way before me :) My bh are uncomfortable at the most, but it's still just tightening and the uncomfortable part is that when it happens I feel like I have to pee because I guess it pushes baby on my bladder or something. But, really not painful. I also feel like I have gas trapped in lower abdomen a lot and just in general pressure on bladder, so I wonder if Ava's dropped more.

holy c___p, I know this is totally not something I need to be worrying about , but on that postpartum thread I read that you lose your hair after birth??? You guys have seen my hair, while it is not really THIN, it is fine and I just don't have a ton of it. If I lost any you would totally see bald spots on me because I'm blond :( Oh well, whatever happens is totally worth it, but that freaked me out! lol

Hey girls guess what!! my SIL baby was born last night at 647.. 30 min pushing and she did all natural.. he is sooo adorable!! weights about 7pd 17oz. and is 20 inch long... im just so excited for her he is a great baby over all the things the doctor kept tellin her about his size and age.. he seems perfect to me.. beautiful and healthy!! so 1 down and 2 more to go! lol.. im hopinh im next.. i got a doctors appointment in an hr. i hope they tell me im dilated or soemthing good lol

36 weeks today YAY. I have my dr appt tomorrow to see if anything and to see if my baby girls head has turned... STEF i never lost my hair he he.. Girls i have a question. I have 2 daughters already but i cant seem to remember this one. When i feel like pain down there what is it?? When i get contractions will it be in my stomach or down there??

cors1wfe - June 11

STEF- only some ladies lose their hair -they are usually the ladies whose hair got really really thick - if you hair has pretty much stayed the same like mine did you have nothing to worry about I never lost my hair with either one of my previous 2 postpartum time frames - try not to worry too much.....LOL - JULIA that is so awesome about your little nephew Auntie! KOLLEEN you better start counting them when they happen because 6-8 an hour could be considered labor and you should get checked out especially when you say that they take your breath away.....those are pretty gnarly - mine get my attention but they don't take my breath away.....wow.....HILLARY - make sure you let us know if you have dilated at all??? I like you had totally forgotten what it was like having contractions and real contractions start in your lower abdomen more close to your v____a and work their way up towards your b___bies.....and you can feel your uterus get really really tight......at least that has been my experience - I noticed that when I have braxton hicks my whole uterus just tightens at once and no gradual progression - I hope that helps - I tried to describe it as best as I could...

JULIA, it is effaced and that is great! I think all you guys have made more progress than I have, lol :) Could I possibly have dilated or effaced any and not feel it? I'm hoping to hear something good at my appt. Friday....I just don't feel like I've had any contractions or anything that is productive :(
