hey everyone... So no baby on my end today. I just got released from the hospital and was told to head on back if I get more than 6 contractions an hour for two hours - which that is super easy for me. So unless something happens before Thursday then ok but if not then I think they will do another amnio to check lung maturity. So I'm glad to be home though. Still on bedrest but at least I'm home. So no baby Dawnie? I thought for sure you were going into labor! What did they tell you?

im with fefer lol I would have been in the lobby just waiting and being annoying haha... that would so funny to see. my litle girl is hanging on for dear life too but im only 37 weeks 2 days so Im not expecting much yet. I suspect she'll be late too. Im hoping for June 19th because thats my husbands birthday... I think it would be cute to "give" him a baby as a birthday present.

hey disko..Im glad you are home!! I think Dawn when to lay down... she went to the hospital this morning and I guess they said she was almost 3cm dilated and to come back when her water breaks or her contractions get really bad. *rolls eyes* I would have been like "screw you lady, Im sittin right here until a baby comes out" but dawn is to nice I guess :)

well that's good I guess disko! I mean, you want him to cook as long as possible. :) Heather, lots of times first babies are later -but not always. My dads bday is June 16th and he's hoping I'm late. I think that's a bit TOO late for MY taste!! That would officially be 2 weeks late. No thanks!

fefer.. june 19th is only 5 days over my due date so its not to bad. early on I had a feeling she was going to be small and early but now I have a very strong feeling shes gonna be big and late lol

well, better late than never! :) I was hoping for an early delivery since I'm soo miserable but I have this sinking feeling he's gonna take his time. I guess it doesn't really matter but I'm sure sick of sleepless miserable nights!!! I'm gonna go make some chili for dinner so I'll check in later. Can't wait to hear about Dawn!!!!!

Well I was going to be a June mommie but Hannah had different ideas. She was born on May 22nd ! Right at 34 weeks. My water broke 3 days earlier. I will spare you all the details, I wasn't that bad except being in the hospital a week ! I had a c-section because she was still breech but she came out crying ! She is in the Level 2 nursery because she didn't know how to eat at 1st. But she is catching on. Hopefully by the weekend she will be home ! She weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz. and 18 1/2 in. long !!!

Oh dawn you had me speed reading through all the posts! I still think today might be your day with all the contractions you're having. Are you dialated at all? The only conclusion I can come up with besides the nurse being an idiot is that if you stayed they might give you pitocin to help you along which increases the risk of a c-section. Otherwise I don't get the logic behind her saying that. I need a new mommy buddy and I think you might be it :) Disko I'm SO glad you got to go home!! Your own bed and couch probably feel like heaven. Did you enjoy your vacation for 'her'? LOL OH I just scrolled down and congrats michelle! I want to see pictures :D My son was in the nicu for a week and I also had a c-section so I can relate. She sounds like she's doing great though and I'm here if you need anybody to talk to about what's going on. Good size for 34 weeks too! Good job mama! Christie - omg lmaooooooo you sure told him didn't you! I'm a naughty one, we've already had s_x and I'm terrified of getting pregnant haha condoms just don't work for us so he's been pulling out haha that makes me feel so young. We had fudruckers in VA but I haven't been to one since I want to say elementary school. I wanna try it now lol you sounded like you were trying to sell their burgers! Heather - Good to hear your hubby is bored and I'm happy for you you've been able to talk to him. Tell him he has to shower before he comes home to you LOL Gabby - I'm eating a spoonful of cookie dough as I type! I always burn the first pancake I make. We eat alike. Fefer - I'm STILL sick of sleepless miserable nights! I always have a hard time falling back asleep when he wakes up and by the time I get good and cozy he's up again.

yeah I guess it is good that I got out of the hospital but I've been having contractions every 4-5 minutes for two hours now. They told me to come back but I am kinda hesitant for fear they might keep me. :-/ so I just took a benadryl and I hope that helps.

oh poor disko! I would hate to go back - being home has to be nice for you. Kay - yeah, I know I'll still have sleepless nights after he's born but I never had a problem falling asleep with my daughter. :) I lOVE my sleep and need it so bad!! I'm a major grouch without it. My dd is trying my patience these days too so I need extra sleep! :) She's been in a terrible 2 stage since she turned one! She just threw a plate of cuc_mber salad and taquitos and sour cream on the floor after dipping her sippy cup in the sour cream and throwing THAT on the floor. I can hardly bend over a tall so picking it up made me really crabby. Little turd. :) She already bit me and spit on me when I told her she couldn't climb into the babies swing. ugh!!! What have I gotten myself into!! :) Congrats Michelle! I hope to join you soon!!!!!!

Aw disko mine were like that too. My dr. sorta learned to trust me when I told them at my nst's that those were just my normal contractions. Try to get some rest and see if they get better. If you feel comfortable that that's just normal for you I'm sure your body would let you know to go in if they got worse. I always dreaded getting sent to labor and delivery from my appointments. fefer- two is a crazy age, three is great, then I've been told 4 is a sneak preview of the teenage years and omg has my daughter developed the most sa__sy, snotty att_tude! Wait till she can talk back more than just saying no :P If I didn't know better I'd swear she was hormonal haha. I hope my son loves his momma like most boys do because I know she won't like me as a teenager.

Kay, last I heard dawn was dilated to almost 3cm... and apparently the nurse didnt say c section she said it would increase the chance of an epi, she a__sumed dawn wanted to go all natural so she sent her home to tough it out I guess. I told her to go back to the hospital unless she wanted to go natural. last I checked she was gonna see if her neighbor could take her because she couldnt drive due to the contractions.

Haha WHY would she get that idea?! I don't think there's anybody on here who doesn't want an epidural and if you don't....more power to ya because you're braver than I am! I've always been told to wait at home as long as possible but I'd feel better being monitored in the hospital....even if I was a little less comfy. I'm ready for a mommy buddy!

I still convince myself every once in awhile that I'll do it naturally then Im like "forget that!" You wouldnt get a root ca___l done or get your wisdom teeth pulled with out them numbing you up so I dont see the problem with go through the excruciating pain of child birth with a little help lol. I agree I would totally rather be at the hospital than sit around and be miserable at home. with the first baby anyway.. maybe if I was more comfortable with the labor process or something it wouldnt be so bad but I think I would rather hang out in the lobby of the hospital than at home. either way there will be pain but at least at the hospital I know if ANYTHING happens at ANY time Im right there so no big deal.
