Hi Everyone, Today marks the start of the 37th week - almost full term. I can not believe it. I was getting a ton of contractions last night, but not so many today. About back aches. Mine was hurting terribly too. I walked 5 miles today and it is gone (but now my feet hurt). We are almost there. A couple of you sound as though you are having pre labor symptoms. Good luck!! Lauren

Hi Rachel Renee! Yes, this is my first baby. But now that ChattyKathy mentions it, maybe I am having BH contractions and I just haven't realized it. I definitely get a weird feeling on a daily basis like my lungs are compressing or something so maybe that's what it is. Who knows!?! I am getting so anxious too! I just want to get the birth part overwith so I can take my baby home and start our life together! I go on Monday for my 37 week appointment and am looking forward to getting checked and some questions answered. I've said it plenty of times before, but I just can't help it...I wish my little guy would turn his head down already! Geez.

Completed my 38th week today. Wow; it's still hard to believe. I'm having the NST tomorrow. I hope everything is all right! Reneenay: I'm keeping all of my fingers crossed for you. And by the way, you SHOULD be still hoping your baby turns on his own cause it could still happen!!!! wv_red: hang in there girl! I hope you get plenty of rest, cause I guess that's all you can do right? Kathy: I haven't even been checked yet for dilation!!! I guess my Dr. will check it this week! Hope everyone is doing OK!

wow, I am so tired today. I have not been sleeping well but this tiredness is different. I do not feel like doing a thing. Yesterday was totally different - I walked 5 miles. I am quite certain the baby has dropped. I am nauseated and have loose stools again. I am wondering if I am getting close. Rachael - I have heard better things with castor oil then primrose but wait until you are term. I also heard of rasberry leaf tea. Renee - there are accupuncturists that can turn the baby. The doctor might know how to do this too. Google spinning babies. There is a lot of great info on the proper position of the baby. CGgirl, what is NST?

ChattyKathy - April 25

I hope nausea doesn't return for me. Last night while I was sleeping I could feel myself getting sick. Sorry TMI but I felt myself throw up in my mouth a couple of times. Ugh! But I feel fine today, so who knows. I had hoped my baby had dropped but when I took my weekly belly picture nope... I just went OUT more! LAURENN, if you think you're getting close i say get some rest and don't push yourself too much. You'll need that energy! I have heard good things about caster oil too, even some women who say that their doctor tells them to call before taking it so they can get the right dose in! But of course, with most things, if you aren't ready its not going to do much besides make you a bit uncomfortable for a bit.

I am 36 weeks as of yesterday. I am not sure if this is normal or not but I am feeling a tenderness almost like a bruise in an area of my belly about an inch below my belly b___ton and maybe about 3-4 inches wide. I feel it the most when I am getting up. It started last night. It almost feels like something is stretching or maybe even tearing. I am also feeling it when I pee. Because of that I am worried that it could be a UTI but I thought that my bladder was lower down. Has anyone else had anything similar or have any ideas on what it could be?

laurenn11 - April 27

Hi Jen -I would call your doctor - just to be safe. I have been reading a ton of things about pregnancy and never heard of anything like this. Do you think the baby is kicking there? How is everryone else doing? This thread has ben kind of slow lately. I hope everyone is doing ok. I walked another 5 miles today. I feel great after doing so. I have been having BH contractions on and off most of the evening. Also, I had 2 times today where I started leaking something. It was more like a squirt so I am a__suming it is my bladder. Although I did not have to go to the bathroom. If it happens again I am calling the doctor to be safe.

RMC - April 27

Hey ya'll, looks like I missed a lot in 4 days! Well, Christian Scott made his debut April 23rd at 353 pm. He weighed 5 pounds, 11 oz and was 19.5 inches long. And he is the spitting image of his 14 month old brother, except skinny lol. Csection went well, tubal went well, but they left me in a LOT of pain. I havent gotten any sleep since Tuesday as I have been up with baby so much. Now that we're home, I'm hoping it's a bit better. Right now, my milk has come in super fast and I have gone from a c cup to a HUUUGE D cup overnight - literally. My bbs are rock hard and hurt like hell, I'm hoping the milk is gone soon as I am straight bottle feeding. My feet and legs and ankles are swollen quite a bit, so I'm trying to stay off of my feet, but with 5 kids, 2 of which are under 2, is that really possible? Well, just wanted to touch base with you ladies. Who is up next?

ChattyKathy - April 27

RMC, congratulations on your newest little bundle!!! I can't imagine going through something like that and then being expected to watch after five little ones. You must be a wonder woman! JEN, hernia maybe? or something? i'd mention it to your doctor. Thats not where your ligaments are, so it can't be ligament pain. I don't know! Let us know what the doc says once you get a hold of him/her. ---- Today has been a funky day for me. I remember last night having my tummy hurt a couple of times which was not pleasant. Today I worried about the position Gavin is in, because usually I feel his hiccups near the bottom but today I felt them at the top of my belly... and I also got mild cramps/pressure around my pubic bone. Nothing since lunch, so thats good, but I'm just blah! Hopefully this is not how BH contractions are going to feel for the rest of this pregnancy!

wv_red - April 28

RMC congrats!!!!! Yay welcome Christian! Glad everything went well for you. I hope you can get some kind of rest. Is anyone coming to help you for a few days?? Good luck to you! Dont be a stranger now that you have given birth. Chatty I hope you dont get the painful Bh's. They suck big time. JEN like the other ladies said def check with your doc and let us know how it goes please! Laurenn do you think it may be an increase in discharge. Yuck I know but even the slightest move i feel like i am leaking.. sorry tmi i know but it happens. CG how did the Non Stress test go??? I bet your looking forward to the 1st!! I am looking forward to the 2nd! lol. Renee I hope he turns for you!!!! Turn baby turn!!! i hope everyone is feeling good! We are almost there ladies!!! is it time to do the final chapter thread yet???? This one is really long! HAppy Monday!

Sims1 - April 28

Hey RMC congratulations!!! I popped in to see if anyone of us had popped lol. this is great news. Hey Red, what do your contractions feel like?? how you doing? how's everyone doing??? i feel like he's dropped quite a bit as there's so much pelvic pressure and my stomach just feel a lot more like it's dragging lol. other than that the other day i was having a lot of menstrual like cramps and i really thought oh my this might be it. but nope it subsided and here i am. hey Red, my last day of work was friday, i too at the time felt that maybe i can go another week before taking my vaca but today i'm glad cuz i've done four loads of laundry and my main focus now is moving in to our new place this week by saturday. i want to set up the baby's room asap and have my room ready to go. now all he has to do is hang in there till after this week. it makes me nervous lol because friday and saturday we have so many deliveries that we would be screwed if baby decided to come on one of those days.....fingers crossed....

laurenn11 - April 28

RMC congrats to you and your family. That is soooo exciting. Are you the first person on this thread to deliver? Chatty Kathy,my baby gets the hiccups all the time too and sometimes it is hard to tell where they are at because their entire body moves. I usually stick with checking where the feet (the big kicks), and the b___t are. Also I read the the tiny flutter- like movements are usually the arms. Well, I went to the doctor today . He did do an exam because I was concerned I was leaking. I have no ruptured membranes. He did tell me that I am 95% effaced and 2 cm dilated. He said labor can be just a few days away (or not - you never know). I suppose the 13 miles that I walked in the last 3 days had something to do with it. I am going again today since I am at the end of my 37th week. I am so excited!! BRING THOSE CONTRACTIONS ON!!!

CgGirl - April 28

Hello ladies! I'm glad everyone is doing fine! RMC: Congrats! You did it, wonderwoman! Wow, I don't know how you can take care of all of those kids and truly hope that you are getting some help! Kathy, welcome to the wonderful world of acid reflux. There has been a few nights where I actually woke up choking on it, thinking I couldn't breath... not fun. But try to not drink anything for about 2 hours before going to bed, taking 2 tums and put an extra pillow to elevate your head. It helps a little. And you shouldn't worry about the position because of the hickups. I was worried a couple weeks back because I could feel the hiccups above my belly b___ton. My OB checked and said the baby was still head down. It just depends if it's their stomach that moves. The NST went fine; they hooked me up to a machine that measures the contractions and/or movements and the heartrate of the baby. I was surprised to see that I did have about 4-5 contractions lasting about a minute each while I was there (about 45 minutes). I knew I was having some BH but was thinking they were lasting like 15 seconds or something. I'm glad to know it's not my imagination. I also got to see the L&D area of the hospital so now I know better what to expect. Wow, 11 days left for me. I have my OB appointment tomorrow and hopefully she will check my cervix. Laurenn, that's good progress, lucky you! What is your due date? And yep, we definitely need a new thread!!!

RMC - April 28

Hey guys! Well, I had some help until yesterday, dh had to go back to work today. Then he is off tomorrow, and my mom will be here Wed for 2 weeks because my SIL is getting induced on Friday, so we will have 2 babies in 2 wks in our family. Not too much rest today unfortunately, my 14 month old woke up with a 101 degree fever and had to stay home so he is super cranky. He is doing amazingly well with the baby, and rubbing his head and giving him kisses though. But it's hard keeping them seperated since it's just me at home. I don't want him to get the baby sick though. So we have a couple of ladies coming due this week, woohoo! I bet ya can't wait! lauren11 - Jairia was actually the first to deliver in early April, I think she was only 34 weeks or so though. CGgirl - lol, it's very hard with 5 kids. Luckily, the 3 older ones help out A LOT, especially with helping me with my 14 month old, and doing stuff around the house.

kate_ - April 28

it's so exciting that some of the little bundles are starrting to arrive! i am sitting on my couch, having contractions, and struggling to finish my last paper for grad. school this year!!! i went to the midwife this AM who said my son's head was very low, and she wouldnt be surprised if he arrived tonight. of course, she also said that he could hold on until his due date which is may 6th. i am hoping to go early...as long as i can finish this paper! i'll keep you updated. good luck everyone!

ChattyKathy - April 28

Oh wow, KATE. You could be having the baby soon! Get to typing, girl! lol I can't believe everyone is ready for their little bundles. I checked on my pregnancy tracker and I have thirty days until my due date. I just can't believe it. I'm so ready to have him, but I know I still have things I need to get finished (like moving into the new apartment, for example!) But I watched a show on discover health channel today where a girl moved into a new apartment 4 days before her due date, so I don't feel quite as bad that its cutting so close. I'm just ready to hold him and be a mom! Anyone making any plans for mother's day this year?
