Hey girls, hope you don't mind me still poking in, because I'm probably going to even if you do mind. But I'm glad to see everyone's doing good. Jaria glad that l/o is still in there! Me and hubby are planning on trying again as soon as we're allowed so we've got about a month and a half to go. So I'm hoping that'll give me something to look forward to and help me move on. I just hope it's a gilr! Because if it's not I'm afraid I'll be very very very p__sed! lol Anyhow I was wondering if you can see the umbilical cord in the 3d 4d ultra sounds. Because you can't with the regular ones so I was thinking next time around to make me feel better I might have to do one of those if you can see it. Plus I've decided next time regardless of what anyone else says I'm renting a doppler the ENTIRE pregnancy. Plus I'm taking all these vitamines and stuff and changing my whole diet to "help make a girl". lol sooo hopefully it pays off!

They were about 10 minutes apart but then they stopped. So I decided to go to bed and see how I felt in the morning. I havn't noticed any yet today though, so I'm not too worried. Good luck getting a little girl again sterlin, baby dust to you(not that you need it quite yet, but the more the better right? lol). And we don't mind you here at all, it's good to hear you're doing well through all of this. I've seen some 3d/4d ultrasound pics in a book called "Watch Me Grow" and you can see the umbilical cord. I saw mine in my regular one though but when I compare mine with my friends mine are a lot better quality because i go to a slightly more advanced hospital. After what happened to you I am so worried because my doctor even said that my baby is VERY active but I'm trying not to stress about it too much. Oh and believe someone was mentioning books earlier and the BEST one I've found is called "From the Hips" which is more straight forward and not sugar coated. I tells about the physical and emotional ides of pregnancy, about birth, becoming a parent(including post-pregnancy body stuff), and about baby care. Plus it's NOTHING like a text book at all. It's so bright and colorful and there are quotes all over from other parents too. I seriously recomend it to anyone looking for a book with information but not all text book like.

Hi Sterlin, I'm so sorry about your loss. I was so shocked I told my coworker/friend and both of us were so sad and hurt for you. But your strength is certainly admirable, and i wish you all the best with getting pregnant again and really hope god blesses you with a girl again.

Jairia - February 20

Sterlin, I'm so glad that you're back and trying again. I'll start praying that you have a girl on the way. Well after being poked 4 times beginning at 6 this morning the doggone glucose test is over. Here's to hoping it comes back normal. The last thing I need on top of being in the hospital is to have gestational diabetes on top of everything else. DH is starting to feel a little better but still cannot come to the hosptial until he's finished his antibiotics. I really miss seeing them...

Hi Girls. Sterlin, I hope that time will heal your wounds and you can move on, and I hope you get the girl you are wishing for too. I told me DH about you and our hearts go out to you. I worry now too because my baby is very active too. And yes, you can see the umbilical cord in the 4D ultra-sound. I am really looking forward to going to mine on Friday. We get a 15-minute DVD set to music, 8 black and white pics and 2 high resolution color pics... I'll let you all know how it goes. Hopefully he won't be hiding! Ashley, that book sounds really cool. I am going to have to look into it. RMC, I'm with you. I live in usually sunny Cal...well, today it's raining and a "blistery" 42-58 degrees. I don't know if I'll make it...I might freeze to death! Well, I'm off to do the fun glucose test. Wish me luck! Have a good day!

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? Sterlin great to hear from you! Good luck on the lil girl, hop eyou have lots of fun trying again!!! Sims welcome!! Glad to see you joined us! Chatty I signed up for lamaze cla__se and they are to start next month. It was like 70 here to do it so that wasnt too bad. I figure if it could teach my DH how to ma__sage it was well worth it! Well I had another ultrasound done today, they wanted to check on my lil Victoria to see how fast she is growing..well she is measuring a week bigger again. Is this normal? I mean they already upped my dd once and it looks like they are going to do it again. The u/s tech was like are you both sure you werent big babies cause neither one of us was. Her est weight is 2.5 to 3 lbs for 26wks and 5 days. I am due to take that GD test on the 7th and defiantly not looking forward to that. Just the taste of it, I want to do it and get it done so that is out of the way. Well i suppose I should get back to work.... belly rubs ladies! Have a great day!

Hi Wv-red, I had a friend who just had a baby in December and she measured a week ahead her entire pregnancy. Her little boy was only 6 lbs 5 oz when he was born so I don't think it matters much. It's funny, I am measuring 2 and a half weeks ahead according to my last appointment and they havent' changed my dd once. I'm guessing that my little guy might come 2 weeks early but who knows?

Sims1 - February 20

hi wv_red, thanks yes i finally sucubbed to the May Mommies forum. i don't know why wasn't joining lol. i agree with renee, i keep hearing everywhere that the tech's always think the baby is bigger than it actually is. i'm measuring a week over as well. but not sure what the babies wieght is. i don't even know if it's a girl or a boy. can you believe that. both times the tech couldn't see anything between the legs. this last time she thinks she saw a p___s but was still not sure when she went back to look for something. for some reason this baby is so curled up that the privates don't show only the b___t and the legs and then it's dark inbetween teh legs lol. also don't worry about the sugar test, the stuff is carbonated so it tastes like orange pop. i chugged mine and sat there for an hour. that was the hard part. other than that, i'm bored as heck, and i really want to have good nights sleep. i keep tossing and turning and the belly just feels like a big heavy thing i have to carry to each side.

STERLIN, good to hear from you. I say go for the doppler. I know several mommies-to-be on the miscarriage forum that rented dopplers for their entire pregnancy and use them religiously! ASHLEY, glad you're feeling better. I wouldn't worry about your little one being active. Thats a GOOD thing, even though its scary after what sterlin went through. JAIRIA - Good luck with the results! Hopefully it wont be too bad. --- I have my next appointment tomorrow. I don't think it'll be very exciting, but they may finally be able to tell me if they have results for the quad screen or not (last appt I had to retake it due to "missing info" ?) I'm not too worried about that, though. I just hope it doesn't last too long!

sterlinberlin05 - February 20

Don't be worried, all your babies are fine!! What happened to us was a fluke and rarely happens! They kept telling my Calimae was soo big and blah blah, but really she was very small. 1lb 12 oz at 26 weeks...I figured she would have at least been 2 lbs.right? I just had a lot of fliud apparently. So they never really know for sure.

RMC - February 20

Sterlin you just poke in as much as you want and I hope you get your little girl second time around. cggirl - If I had to live thru an actual winter, I'd probably die! Lol .. .cold for us is 40s to 50s and we are freezing! reneenay - I know 42-58 degrees is like below freezing for us!

reneenay - February 20

Hey girls. Well the glucose test really wasn't bad. I had a choice of flavors: lemon-lime and orange. The tech said lots of women likes the lemon-lime so I tried it. It just tasted like flat 7Up. Not so bad. Take some reading with you and the hour goes by fast. Now hopefully the results will come back ok. I am very excited right now because I have a fun few days ahead. Friday a 4D u/s session and Saturday is my shower. Yay! How is everyone else doing?

reneenay - February 20

Lots of women LIKE the lemon-lime. Geez, you would never know I was an English major in college by the way I write on here sometimes!

CgGirl - February 21

RMC: February is the coldest month here and I'm happy that I wasn't due in Dec. or Jan. Being due in May is the best so we can start walking outside quickly!!! Sterlin: I almost got myself the doppler and think I still might. It's just not worth spending all this time worrying. wv_red: Victoria will most probably be the name of our little girl too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wv_red - February 21

CgGirl hey that is awesome!! Yeah we picked that name out as we were walking out of our u/s after we found out it was a girl. Dh was wondering what we were going to name her and Victoria popped out and we knew that was her name. Victoria Lynne. Tori for short. I love it. How is everyones nurseries and rooms coming along??? Anyone have a baby shower yet? ChattyKathy, reneeney how did the showers go??? I am a little bummed out about mine just because none of my family is here to come to it. My MIl and dh's best friends wife are throwing me one. There are going to be alot of people there that I dont know. Well I suppose it could be worse. Everyone there could be over 50.... Thank goodness they all arent but.....Jairia how are you doing???? Ashley how is the tailbone and the leg??What other names is everyone thinking off?? Well ladies gotta get back to cooking dinner... have a good evening.
